Fate Of A Hybrid

Chapter 10

Seeing who I stumbled upon, I almost fainted, just why did we end up colliding in this way, with my literally running into him. I stumbled back three steps without even knowing, my heart racing as fast as it could.

Looking at this figure, with his hands clasped behind his back. His amber eyes radiated a bright light that was like the point of a sharp blade,making it so that others didn't dare look at him.

"It is you again, I see you don't like to learn." These words were normally ones that were spit out through clenched teeth, but they were said with such a calm expression that it was even more frightening.

Although he was standing there indifferently, he seemed to contain the imposingness of a god, looking down on all mortars.

He was precisely the man I was searching for so several days now— Stanley. But seeing him now, I felt so anxious, something bad was looming over my head the moment I saw those eyes. Who would have thought the men who stepped out of his way to help me, would also have this look. I was instantly terrified.

Afterall, I've waited so long to meet with him again and I wouldn't let some scary eyes get in the way of my answers. If I couldn't even confront him, was I even worthy of being the mate of such a powerful person? I suppressed my fear and finally spoke in between my breathing that was as heavy as an engine.

"I'm sorry I stumbled into you this way, but I really do want to have some words with you." I said apologetically.

He waved his hands at the people walking with him, so they could give them some space, they quickly understood and they lingered at some distance behind them.

"Just because I'm a hybrid doesn't make me less of a wolf and as your mate I have rights." As soon as I said these words I almost choked on them, I was so angry that my voice was loud enough for the people behind to here, but I wouldn't have been much bothered if not for the fiery glance Stanley gave me after hearing what I said.

He looked over his shoulders to see the people behind him with shocked expressions, as expected I was heard clearly. His anger becoming more pronounced.

It seems he was really furious having those people know who I was. "Just what have I done" I shivered.

He looked back at me, his gaze could now shoot out fire.

"Leave immediately!" He still said through clenched teeth, his expression so frightening.

"I'm not leaving without answers." At this moment I put on an unfazed front, I was so adamant, I really wouldn't leave without answers.

"Hehe, you really want answers don't you?"

"I really have been lenient enough with you as I don't really enjoy watching people cry."

"But since you want to cry so bad I'll help you." His words all said through clenched teeth, signifying his imminent rage outburst.

"Yes tell me, as your mate I also have rights." I wasn't one to back down.

"Now let's see if you really want to know, I don't want somebody like you as a mate, even if we were fated mates I could do far better than you."

"Let me spell it out to you further, I DON'T WANT YOU!" He retorted, those last four words struck into my head like some lightning bolts, the entire world seemed to be spinning, that I almost fainted.

As if it wasn't enough he further spoke, it seems he was releashing anger he had pent up for so long and I was the one to bear it all.

"Just so you know, I know about your financial situation." He added.

The shock on my face while hearing this was so obvious it could be seen from a mile away.

"Hey, what's with your expression, do you think I wouldn't look deeper into one who calls herself my mate?"

"You have to do series of different menial jobs just to keep up with your basic bills and yet you can even barely keep up, just how would you have time to raise offsprings with me when you don't even have time to breathe and it's all for peanuts."

"Even the slum you live in is something you even struggle to cover, who on God's green earth doesn't know your landlord is about to chase you out, yet you think you are worthy of me?!"

"Look at you, a swine looking to eat with a lion, I don't know what tricks you performed to trick my wolf or the moon goddess just to have me as your mate."

"Do I look like a philanthropist or charity that would just be here to take on your burdens, you pauper."

"Now, you've made me waste so much spitt which I doubt you could afford. If you don't have anything to say, I have other things to attend to rather than wasting my time with you." He snorted, then signalled for the people behind him who seemed to be his pack, for them to start leaving.

Just as they walked by me, they gave me meaningful glances except for a few of them who gave me pitiful looks.

I stood there dumbstruck, just all these words were meant for only me, just who did I offend to receive all these hate?

I collapsed on the floor only to sob for hours until my eyes got devoid of water and almost became blood red.

Realization had now donned on me that I was rejected by my mate. Not just because I was even a hybrid, but because of my financial predicaments also.

I was still shivering so bad, so many machines wouldn't compare to how bad I was shaking.
