As Lucas and Eustace drove through the local streets of Barcelona, Lucas explained his plan for a festive, colorful party to lift spirits in the cold weather.
"You know, Eustace, this party is going to be a blast. It'll help us forget about the chill in the air," Lucas said with enthusiasm.
Reaching their destination, Eustace spotted a girl with lovely black hair and grey-hazel like eyes, giving food to a lady and child sitting on the roadside. The child hugged her tightly, and she waved them goodbye before leaving.
"Eustace, check out that girl. Looks like she's doing something good there," Lucas pointed out.
Eustace observed her every move until she disappeared from view. Lucas snapped his fingers in front of him, bringing him back to reality.
"Come on, buddy, focus! First things first, we need to collect the flowers for the party. Luckily, the flower shop we ordered From is close by," Lucas exclaimed, gearing up for the party preparations.
Stepping out of the car, Lucas and Eustace entered the flower shop where they were greeted by a lovely lady. "Hola, welcome to Bella and Sofi's Flower Shop. How may we assist you?"
Lucas explained, "We had placed an order for flowers."
The Sofia's face lit up with excitement, clearing the doubt that it might have been a prank.
Sofia called Isabella, and she arrived promptly. Sofia explained everything, and they all felt relieved.
“I'm Sofia and this here is Isabella,” she introduced themselves with enthusiasm.
As Eustace looked at Isabella, he remembered seeing her outside giving food to a lady. "Nice to meet you," he said, taking her hand and lightly kissing her knuckles. She pulled back, forcing a fake smile.
"Thank you both for this huge order! Next time you need flowers for your girlfriends, come get them for free," Isabella generously offered.
Eustace continued to stare at her, making her feel uneasy. Lucas, sensing the tension, cleared his throat and suggested, "Well, we better pack these up and get going."
As they finished packing, Eustace extended an invitation to both ladies for the upcoming party. Thrilled by the idea, Isabella hesitated, explaining that the shop needed to be restocked. However, she encouraged Sofia to go without her.
Sofia, turning to Isabella, urged, "Come on, Bella! It's time for us to relax and have some fun."
Isabella resisted, but Eustace chimed in, "If you attend the party, I'll triple the amount you were going to charge us for the flowers."
It was a tempting offer, and after a moment of contemplation, Isabella reluctantly agreed. "Okay, I'll go," she said, giving in to the enticing proposition.
"See you then," Lucas and Eustace bid farewell, finishing packing their flowers before leaving. The two girls looked at each other and squealed with excitement, their energy resembling that of young girls.
Sofia, unable to contain her curiosity, asked, "Did you see how Eustace was looking at you?"
Isabella chuckled, "Yeah, I noticed. But he's not my type."
Sofia playfully put her hand on Isabella's face, teasing, "He might be your soulmate, you never know."
Isabella laughed it off, saying, "Enough boy talk. Let's clean up and close. We need to visit the greenhouse tomorrow before the party."
In the car while driving, Lucas cast a mischievous grin at Eustace. "What was that about?" he inquired.
"What do you mean?" Eustace replied.
"Inviting the girls to the party, tripling their pay, smooth move," Lucas remarked.
Eustace chuckled, "I mean, did you see Isabella? She screams wife material. Everything about her just told me she's the one I'm looking for. I just need to play my cards right."
"Don't be an ass, Eustace. She's a very nice person, and I really don't think it would be a good idea to deceive her," Lucas cautioned.
Eustace rolled his eyes and replied confidently, "It's not deceiving when she will get everything she desires."
"If you say so. Our next stop is the 'Paraíso Cove' hotel, Heaven Cove hotel" Lucas announced in both Spanish and English.
The place looked so pretty with colorful Spanish decorations everywhere. There were hanging banners and all the flowers ordered from Isabella, and the walls had cool mosaic patterns. It felt just right.
People started showing up, chatting and dancing to the lively Spanish music. But Eustace was really just waiting for Isabella.
After a while, Sofia arrived, but Isabella was still missing. Finally, she came in wearing a beautiful dress that made her look elegant.
Eustace went up to her with a smile, saying, "Hey, glad you could make it. You look amazing."
Isabella blushed a little and replied, "Thank you. This place is incredible!"
“It wouldn't have been if not for your flowers,” he winked at her.
The music changed to a slow and spicy tango beat. Eustace asked, "Would you like to dance with me?"
Isabella hesitated for a moment but then said, "Sure, why not?"
As they danced, Eustace said, "You're a fantastic dancer. Have you done this before?"
Isabella laughed, "Not really, but I'm trying my best. You're not too bad yourself."
They continued to dance, following the rhythm and enjoying each other's company. Eustace added, "I'm really glad you came tonight. It wouldn't have been the same without you."
Isabella smiled, "I'm having a great time too. Thanks for inviting us."
The dance became more intimate, and as they looked into each other's eyes, Eustace whispered, "You know, there's something special about tonight."
Isabella, feeling the connection, replied, "Yeah, it does feel special. Let's make the most of it."
They continued to dance, their eyes locked, feeling the flow of the music. The spotlight focused on them, and gradually, everyone else stopped to watch.
As the song came to an end, they struck a pose together, drawing cheers from the crowd. Isabella blushed as Eustace looked deeply into her eyes.
However, when the song ended, she broke eye contact and walked away, leaving Eustace feeling a bit confused.
Eustace followed Isabella and found her seated with Sofia. He approached them and asked if he could talk to Isabella for a moment. She agreed, and Sofia headed off to chat with Lucas. Sofia was the life of the party compared to Isabella, who played more of a motherly role to Sofia.
He suggested they go upstairs, mentioning he wanted to show her something. They climbed to the balcony and admired the city lights with gentle snow falling.
Taking a moment to get to know each other, Eustace said, "So, Isabella, tell me more about yourself. Any special person in your life?"
Isabella chuckled, "Oh, no boyfriend drama
for me. I've had my fair share of toxic relationships."
Eustace raised an eyebrow, "Toxic relationships? What happened?"
She sighed, "Well, it's the usual story. Guys who didn't appreciate me, just wanted to have fun and move on. I've learned to be careful and focus on my own happiness."
Eustace nodded, "I get that. It's important to prioritize yourself. So, what makes you happy?"
Isabella smiled, "Honestly, my flower shop brings me joy. I love creating beautiful arrangements. And spending time with Sofia, she's like family."
Eustace grinned, "Family is important. I can relate. What about your dreams and aspirations?"
As they shared about their lives, laughter filled the balcony, creating a connection between them that went beyond the festivities below.
