Lingering Smell

Angels POV

The ride back seemed faster than the way there. We pulled into the Pack house and immediately I sensed something was different. There was not a person in the training field.

I mind linked my brother, 'hey, what is going on, there is no-one on the training field.'

'It's ok brother, everyone doing the endurance test,' he replies.

"Well how is that happening when you are here and not judging?" I asked

'I have gotten outside reinforcements, no worries,' Andy answered, ' glad to hear you are back ok.'

I was a little confused and Blaze was smirking at me," so what's going on since I am not a mind reader?"

"Well, it seems the packs warriors are doing an endurance test/training and we have people from another pack here to help." I said as we unloaded the jeep and headed inside.

My brother Alpha Andy met us at the stairs, Hey its great to have you back

I introduced them Andy this is my friend Blaze, Blaze this is my brother Alpha Andy they shook hands

Andy said," Its a pleasure to finally meet you. Angel has said many good things about you. Thank you for having his back when he was away."

"Its my pleasure to be here, and he has been there for me as much as I have for him. I am happy to help anyway I can. He would do the same for me." Blaze replies.

We get done with all the introductions just as we reach the guest room.

"We can rest up some before the warriors get back. I think my brother has a meeting planned for everyone then.' I said.

He went into the guest room and I turned to go into mine and begin to unpack and rest up some. All of the sudden, I got a very faint smell of strawberries. I haven't smelled that since the ball at the Arlington.

My wolf starts getting restless. I was confused for a minute why I would all the sudden smell that smell here. Then I remember what my brother said about reinforcements. Maybe one of the warriors has a sister that is my mate.

3rd person POV

Angel was in his room. Blaze was unpacking in his room. Andy was on the phone with Alpha Dalton at the snowfall pack letting him know how the training was going so far and what training his warriors and daughter had come up with. Alpha Dalton was really anxious to know how his daughter was doing.

Andy asked him,"Alpha Dalton, is there something you're not telling me about the trainers, your daughter in particular?"

"Well sort of I think my daughter's mate may be from your pack...She said she caught a faint smell that was different just before the attack at the ball, then she didn't smell it after." Dalton said.

" I see I think we may be on the same page then. I will keep an eye out and let you know if anything happens. It would be my pleasure to assist with this since you sent me such a good training team." Andy replied.

The call ended, Andy thought for a few minutes. This may be interesting he smiled.

Meanwhile..

Destiny and the rest of the trainers and warriors were coming back to the training grounds.

" Everyone you did great, now grab a partner and do some sparring, we are going to hit the gym. My team and I are going to discuss the outcome of the stats on all we have so far." Destiny said dismissing them.

We went into the office of the gym and made a list of the warriors for each of us to watch. We left and went to observe what they were doing now..

Destiny went to the training grounds first, as she was watching them spar. She got a faint smell of mint chocolate and her wolf started pacing.

She went to Amy immediately.

"Hey what's wrong Dee?" Amy asked.

"Well, I just got a faint smell of something I smelled at the ball." Destiny said.

Amy's eyes lit up,"Do you think your mate is here somewhere?"

"I don't know, maybe, but wouldn't I have smelled it when we got here yesterday?" Destiny asked.

We both looked around then I noticed a vehicle that wasn't there this morning.

"Hey, that jeep was not there this morning." Destiny pointed out." Well the smell is gone now, I need to go to the gym and get a workout in before my wolf goes nuts."

Destiny left and headed toward the gym, she changed into a sports top and short leggings. She put her earbuds in and went to the weights, then elliptical. That wasn't enough for her wolf, she saw a boxing ring and mind linked Austin to come and spar with her.
