Trevor opened his eyes, looked around his office, and realized he was alone. He climbed off the couch, dressed, sat at his desk, and stared out the window. He poured himself another glass of whiskey, leaned back, and kicked his feet up on the desk. His eyes scanned the nearest bookshelf, where he never noticed the picture on the second shelf. Smiling brightly was one happy family, his father, his father’s wife, and his half-brother. Trevor glared daggers at the picture and thought back to the night he showed up here eight years prior. A man with black hair and the same brown eyes walked up to him as he waited at the border. Trevor was forced to his knees with a gun to the back of his head as a guard restrained him.
