I thought that thinking about the past would bring that unbearable pain once again, but to my surprise, I didn’t feel much pain. In fact, I felt relieved after pouring all my grief in front of Hunter. I knew that he was now seething in anger, but Ashton was already dead. Hunter couldn’t do anything to him now.
“So, I decided to severe all my bonds with him, and go rogue. I didn’t want to do it because of my family, but he forced me by constantly pursuing me..” I continued telling Hunter what Ashton tried to do after he learned a bit about my strength and abilities.
