I kept on staring at her pale face while holding her hand. I was afraid that she would vanish if I closed my eyes. She was my mate. She was in front of my eyes all day yet I didn’t recognize her. Now I understood my obsessiveness towards her.
“Her wolf….. she recognized us as her mate. Will she accept us? She is now marked by Hunter and Shadow. Will they let her accept us? Blaze asked me in a worried tone. I rubbed her knuckles over my lips while processing what he asked.
“I don’t know, Blaze… I really don’t know what will happen now?” I answered him in a sad tone, filled with uneasiness. He whimpered and retreated back. I couldn’t blame him for being sad and scared, as I was too scared about my future with Hazel now.
