He dabbed at Ellory’s face, patting the cloth along his neck and chest, whispering for him to revive, to be okay. After a few minutes, Ellory’s eyes fluttered and he moaned. Sean’s heart jumped and he leaned forward, hand braced on the other side of Ellory’s waist, waiting. Ellory felt called back to the living as if through a very narrow tunnel.
