They woke hours later with their fingers still laced. Sean blinked his eyes open and found Ellory already awake and watching him, the sunlight casting his eyes in a mosaic of green and blue. Ellory smiled and rose up on his elbows, dipping his head to plant a kiss on Sean’s nose. Sean froze, still not entirely believing that so much had changed between them in only a handful of days. “Morning,” Ellory whispered, and Sean tilted his head up and pressed their lips together. Ellory smiled and kissed him back.
