As Kaius neared me, I jumped toward him, tackling him down onto the ground. I clasped my fists together and slammed it down onto his stomach and heard as this made a gust of air become forced out of his lungs. I quickly scanned his waistline, seeing a knife on his waistband in a holster, and felt my lips part in realization of what I wanted.. all of this was too much.. I grabbed the knife from his waistband and drove it into my stomach in one swift movement. I choked on my own breath as I could feel the coldness of the metal around my warm insides and an intense jolting pain quickly took over. His eyes stared up at me in complete shock before pushing me over onto the ground and examining the knife. "Holy sh*t! Why would you do that!?" He screamed at me as I grabbed the handle of the knife, ripping it out from my stomach and growling out in pain. I stayed silent as I attempted to breathe through my pain, my vision became blurry as the wound continued to send sparks of jolting pain throughout my torso. "Father can fix this.. if he thinks you're even worth it after this.." Kaius spoke coldly before picking me up bridal style and beginning to carry me out from the dungeon. I held my wound as warm blood kept pooling between my tightly clasped fingers, staring up at the ceiling which turned to a dark black marble color as we neared closer to the throne room. "The f*ck Kaius!?" I heard the voice of my kidnapper, Zion speak. "I could smell her blood from the throne room but I didn't expect a wound of this caliber!" He exclaimed in disbelief, approaching us and looking down at my wound from the side as Kaius continued carrying me. "Don't blame me, insane runt did it to herself." Kaius explained coldly.. my wound was no longer hurting anymore.. it wasn't long before I would be dead. "You really expect me to believe that?" Zion countered his words, "Do you really expect me to to care?" Kaius responded in his overwhelming callous tone.
Once inside the throne room, I didn't need anyone to tell me who their father was or who'd be sitting on the throne by the overwhelming feeling of darkness and greed circling within the room. The king Aracnopar finally had the one he'd been chasing. Kaius laid me at the base of Aracnopars' throne and I turned my head to look at him through my blurry vision. I could tell he resembled that of a skeleton with sunken eye sockets and cheeks. His eyes glowed a dark ember color and appeared completely lifeless. "Explain her wound." Aracnopar spoke, his voice sounded as though many people were speaking at the same time in strained tones, but yet.. he sounded so soulless. "She stole my knife and drove it into her stomach before I could stop her. Please, heal her." Kaius explained, bowing before his father. "No," I weakly tried to counter his words. "You don't wish to be saved?" Aracnopar asked, tilting his head to the side as he spoke. "Go. to. h*ll." Was my only response to him, causing him to stand from his throne and step down toward me, crouching once he got to me. "I love the feisty ones.. I'm sorry love.." He spoke more sinister than either of his sons, pressing his pointer finger up against my forehead, causing the back of my neck to begin stinging. I yelled and arched my back in agony as this hurt so much worse than my self-inflicted stab wound. I caught a glimpse of Kaius' face. He was staring at me with wide and excited eyes as if he was getting off, to my pain, Zion's eyes were shifted away and squinted as if my screams in agony were physically hurting him. As soon as Aracnopar disconnected his finger from my forehead, my vision went black, all of the pain stopped and the room became silent. Was I.. Dead?
"Wake up my love," I heard a soft and sweet feminine voice speak. I awoke to the soft feeling of grass beneath me and I rolled to see my mother, intertwining flowers, making a flower crown as she sat beside me. "M-Mother?" I asked before pulling her into a tight embrace as tears began falling from my eyes. "You're dead! How are you here?" I asked through my sobs as I pulled away from her. "Even in death I am always with my baby." She said, brushing a strand of my hair behind my ear, "I have so many questions for you!" I exclaimed to her and her hands gently took mine and rubbed across my fingers with her thumbs. "There's no time baby.. we have important things to talk about." She spoke and I furrowed my brows in confusion urging her to continue.
