Ethan lay fast asleep in Alex’s arms, his breathing slow and steady, his body curled into the warmth of the man he loved. Alex watched him quietly, a small smile tugging at his lips. There was something sacred about this moment—something he didn’t want to end. Then Ethan’s phone rang. Alex reached over carefully, trying not to disturb him. He glanced at the screen. Jeremiah.
