Alex finally came downstairs and walked toward the dining room, but it was empty. As he turned, he spotted a maid passing by.
"Where is everyone?" He asked.
"They're all in the garden, Sir." The maid replied politely.
Alex nodded. "Thank you." He said before heading out.
In the garden, everyone sat in a circle, chatting and enjoying the breeze. As Alex approached, Lily noticed him first. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she saw he had changed out of his earlier suit and was now wearing a crisp white shirt and black trousers.
"Why did you take so long?" She asked. "And... why the outfit change?"
Alex gave a casual shrug. "The suit got stained, so I changed."
