Ethan stepped into the office and came to an abrupt halt. His eyes landed on Alex, already seated and working at his desk. He hadn't expected to see him there today. Alex glanced up from his laptop, catching Ethan's gaze. But Ethan said nothing. Without a word, he walked to his desk and got to work, deliberately avoiding any acknowledgement of Alex's presence.
