CHAPTER 31Bannister had called ahead to Hsu’s Gourmet Chinese restaurant and placed an order which he picked up after work. Once home he put the five red Chinese paperboard cartons in the refrigerator. After showering and changing, he drove to the Grand Hyatt to pick up Robin. Thinking about the case’s progress, he thought maybe they were getting lucky.
A few minutes later he had no doubt he was the one in luck when Robin exited the elevator and walked directly toward him.
