CHAPTER 15Gary Witt’s office had a choice view. Situated on the north corner of the fourth floor, it enjoyed panoramic vistas through two connecting glass walls. Dekalb County and the outskirts of downtown Atlanta stretched out over the treetops. Witt told Bannister to go in and have a seat; he’d be back in a minute. Bannister sat in one of the blue Queen Anne chairs with his back to the view. He wanted to be able to study the expressions and body language of Ted Mims. He set his notebook on Witt’s glass table. Witt strutted in and hung up his suit coat on the back of his door and closed it.
