CHAPTER 40Bannister was surprised at how soundly he’d slept. He had a premonition today would be filled with significant developments. Hopefully, they’d turn out to be favorable.
Frank Jantzen, the office’s technical supervisor, stopped Bannister in the parking lot as he got out of the Bureau car.
“I just left you a message. I was wondering if you’d be willing to field test some new equipment,” Jantzen said.
“What kind of equipment?”
“Step into my office for a couple of minutes.”
