The next location was quite a distance away from the first one, which was on the northern outskirts, towards the area where Aki had found her.
Kelsi finally had her first glimpse of the main city.
They had left the suburbs and were now driving along streets that were starting to look urbanized. The streets were wider and cleaner. The paved roads were solid and well-maintained — a definite improvement from the worn-out ones they had come from. The buildings were also bigger and taller, and the shops lining the road looked more fancy.
This was the rich-people area that Aki was talking about before.
“Wow,” Kelsi said as she stared out of the window, taking in the contrast from other shabby parts of Gaunt City that she had seen. “It’s very different here!”
