BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Kelsi woke up to the annoying beeping of the alarm clock on her desk, signifying that it was already seven o’clock in the morning. She ignored it and mashed her pillow over her head in an attempt to muffle the sounds.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
“Shut up!” she screamed beneath the pillow.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
She shoved the pillow away and forced herself to get up, walked unsteadily to the desk, and fumbled with the black digital alarm clock, which she had borrowed from Aki last night, until she hit the snooze button after a couple of tries.
She held onto the edge of the desk to help her keep her balance, a little disoriented from getting up too quickly, while she glared at the black piece of plastic that was the cause of her annoyance.
