Quietness filled the room before someone spoke. "We don't know. You were found lying on the corridor floor unconscious and unresponsive. Your body had been badly hurt so these teacher's Your* teachers helped carrying you here as they were unsure of the extent of damage you had inflicted. You have 3 broken ribs on both sides, broken nose, hand and a mild to bad concussion" replied the doctor as I looked around the room at the teachers now eyes full of pity. "Thank you for helping me, you honestly don't understand how much I truly appreciate it. Everyone would've just left me there to die, if not adding to the pain if you hadn't of moved me from the hall" I said as I closed my eyes not wanting them to see my eyes start to swell up.  "My own parents don't even care about me that much so thank you" I managed to sniffle out.  They looked at me with sorrow in their eyes before saying if I ever needed any help don't hesitate to go to any of them and I reassured them I would if needed. They then excused themself apologizing as they had to make it to their next class. I once again thanked them before waving them off with a small smile in my face grateful not everyone here wanted to hurt me. The doctor changed my dressings before wheeling my bed into a private room and hooking me up to an iv drip. For a school hospital it was pretty damn nice. The room she had just brought me too was small but big enough to fit the bed, to armchairs on both sides and a lil tv on the wall. "You're going to stay here for the rest of the day okay, the rest of your teachers have been notified and so have your parents" she said as she filled out something's on the clipboard before putting it on the backboard of my bed. "I'll bring you something to eat in a little while okay and the phone over here is a direct line to my mobile so use it if you need anything or if the pain starts to get worse" She was just about to walk about before I softly grabbed at her wrist, shocked at the sudden action she quickly turned to me. "No. Really. I can't express this enough Dr Amy. Thank you." I empathized the "thank you" so she could understand how much it truly meant to me. She game me a small squeeze of the hand before nodding and walking out closing the door behind her.  I then drifted off to sleep. That smell. Where was it coming from? It was such an exotic smell consisting of wild berries and vanilla bean which made me go weak to my knees and my mouth start to water. I couldn't get enough of it, it was the type of smell you just want to eat. As my thoughts started to fade the smell  started to get stronger I tried to look around but was met with just blankness before fulling letting go I heard the word I never thought I'd hear for myself. Mate.
