Fear coursed throughout my entire body as I replayed those two words through my head
"Alpha Mark"
I truly was f****d and I damn well knew it but what I really wanted to know is how he found out if it was even about this which it surely was and who tf told him
I turned my attention to the Dr who was looking at me with a worried expression.
"Was it you? Was it you who told him that's been in here today?!" I shot accusingly at her.
Her facial reaction went from worried to angry to hurt which pinged guilt into my stomach.
"No." She replied in such a soft tone that I think was the quietest
I had ever heard her today making me regret myself for accusing her in the first place.
I instantly looked at her, apologizing from the bottom of my heart for accusing her like that.
"I honestly didn't mean too. You've helped me so much today, but it's because of that why I had my guard up"
She then raised an eyebrow at me, silently pestering me to elaborate on what I had just said.
"I'm not used to this" gesturing between herself and I. "I'm not used to kindness"
That's when I explained to her what had happened that morning at home before school.
"Alpha Mark had come for a morning visit, after explaining to us about the newcomers of a soon to be alpha from a neighbouring pack he then turned to me and threatened me. If I as to look speak or even touch this alpha the amount of abuse I have endured over the years were going to be nothing if I was to disobey this order" I said in a small tone as I point to my old scars on my body.
So to find out that the mystery man from today was exactly the person I WASN'T meant to interact with let alone be damn well KISSING. I know I'm truly f****d. I didn't mean to accuse you, it's just you're the only one that's known he's been in here today.
"Xavier, I wouldn't do that to you. After you had been brought in I did a thorough examination of your body and saw the extent of your old injuries making me guess that you have been through quite a lot of pain throughout the years let alone on your first day of school, your birthday at that. When I rang your parents, they basically just gave me a smirk and said you probably deserved it" she said with such sorrow in her eyes.
After hearing that, I promised myself I would take care of you today. Hence the reason why I kept you here alday as I knew if I had let you go back out there, i think it would've been the last time I saw you alive" she started to cry as she wiped tears away from her eyes
I quickly tried to get out of the bed just so I could engulf her in a hug to show her how much I appreciated her support even though she had just met me but before I could reach her she stopped me.
She handed me some things that she ushered for me to take.
"Look, I don't live to far from the pack house okay. Because you haven't shifted yet we can't mind link so this here is a map to show you how to get to my house if you need to run okay? My number is on here also in case you need to be picked up from somewhere else" she stated in a serious tone.
.my eyes started to swell up with tears as she tried to hide hers away. Thank you so much for for everything you've done today. To many it might not be much, but to me you saved my life today and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have come across my mate I cried.
We took eachother in a big hug before she helped me get changed and pack my things into my bag.
"A car is waiting outside for you, and remember - the map. Don't let anyone else find it okay. She sighed before giving me one last final hug.
"Hey Amy?""
Yeah?'
"Can you tell Xander what's happened if he comes back please."
"Of course I will"
As I walked out the door I watched her put her head against the wall and silently start sobbing. Thank you Amy, I whispered. I wish you nothing but all the love in the world for the bit of love you showed me today.
With that, I was gone. Making my way to the front of the school towards the car that was here to pick me up
