XXXI: Harmless Amber (3)

1743 Words
The girl, still with breathing difficulties, looked at the smoking barrel of the Deer’s gun, the bullet that landed just inches from her, and tears started to flow. The Deer tapped the barrel of the gun at the girl’s head to say. “Stay here…” And then continued on his way. In the apartment, the man facing Amber took off his gloves, and his hands became two blades that collided with each other to produce some sparks. Amber looked at him and sighed. She had her knife gripped and looked into the determined eyes of her assailant. The murderer charged towards her to eliminate her, but the girl evaded the blows that this fellow threw at her, and she tried to cut the guy’s torso, but his hands got in the way of the young woman’s attacks. The guy turned, and with that movement, he used his hand to transform into a blade to try to cut the young woman in the face. She evaded by moving her torso back, but the guy continued to turn, and the next attack was towards the girl’s legs, who jumped out of the way and spun on the blade in a full turn and landed on her feet away from him. “Damn cat!” The man said, smiling behind his gas mask, “You have good movements...” The man attacked the young woman continuously, but she evaded all his attacks. The guy, taken by frustration, broke the table where the Deer usually left the food. Amber was holding the knife tightly and starting to get tired from evading the attacks of that man, and when he charged once again, she ducked and tried to stab him, but the knife that had hit the enemy’s stomach did not penetrate his skin. The man smiled and cut the young woman’s leg deeply, and she fell to the ground in pain. “There are no more jumps for you damn girl!” Amber scared backward, crawling with her hands. The man smiled and said, “You have to see if your boyfriend saves you bitch...” The girl looked at the apartment door, and her eyes lit up when she said, “Deer!!” The muscular man turned quickly to look at the door, but there was no one there. When he saw the girl again, she was standing on her hands and, turning with a graceful movement, kicked his face with both legs strongly. The angry guy yelled at her. “That’s not going to…!” But his voice trailed off instantly. The young woman stood up and kicked his face again, bearing the pain that her wound caused her and shocking that man by flying his gas mask high in the air and telling him. “What was not going to work, i***t?” The subject began to hold his throat, returning his hands to normal, and fell to the ground defenseless as air escaped from his lungs and the toxin invaded his respiratory system. From his eyeballs, mouth, and nose, small threads of blood began to come out, and the man agonized until the last second of his life. He tried to speak or make some kind of sound, but it was useless. His now bloody eyes looked at the perfumed face of Amber, who had survived. “Sorry!” The young woman said before sitting on the floor, “You shouldn’t have come...” In the building where the last of the mercenaries was, the man was smiling. All his clones had been killed in the young woman’s building, the girl was much more capable than Hanibal believed, and the people they faced on the main path did not give an inch. Controlling all his clones had never been as complicated as it was at the time. Suddenly he saw a boy jumping over the fence at the back of that building. When he saw him, he decided to shoot him, but when the boy landed, he started running to the side. He had four of his clones ready to kill him, but the movements of that young man were so fast and precise that his shots did not hit the target. However, when the Deer raised his hand to use his revolver, with each shot, one of his clones disappeared. Four bullets eliminated the four clones he had prepared. He was about to make more clones when he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen walking calmly down the main path. His clones were about to shoot her when the girl, lighting her fingers on fire, raised her hands and finished with three of them instantly. The rest were prey to the surprise that she created and without being able to follow her movements. The woman advanced in a straight line leaving a line of fire in the place where she had moved and, being among his clones, lit her arms on fire and finished with all of them in a jiffy. The boy, this time, looked at the place where he was. They had killed all his creations instantly. Now he began to make more clones when he saw how two strong eyes entered the place where he was. He took one of his weapons and created several clones, but these were cut to death in seconds, he raised his hand to shoot the man who was running in his direction, but each time he chose a target. The man was no longer there. It took less than two seconds to bridge the distance between them, and with circular movements that hypnotized his victims. The Deer turned on his heels, and his attack hit the hand that held the weapon, flying it from his grip along with three fingers. The Deer dragged his feet on the sandy ground to stop his movement several meters behind his victim, the young man had lost all the fingers of his hand except the index and thumb, and blood fell as he screamed in pain. After an instant, Slevin approached him slowly, the young man tried to use his free hand to take his weapon once more, but a knife flew in his direction and embedded itself in that hand, stopping his intention. The young man no longer shouted, and the Deer could see that this was not a novice like the others, he did not know him either, but he could see how the man understood the course of the combat. The boy stared at him and said, “He is right. You are on another level.” The Deer stopped a couple of steps from him when a tiny line of fire was drawn at his feet. He looked up and saw Sabrina was slowly entering as she said, “I’ll take care of it. You have a place to be now...” The Deer nodded and continued on his way before leaving. He turned, and, looking at Sabrina, he said, “There is a girl in the courtyard of the white house, she is not hurt, but I do not think she will give you problems.” And with those words, he resumed his way while Sabrina looked at the young man on the ground and looked at the severed fingers of him before commenting dryly, “That looked painful.” He smiled wryly before responding, “There are worse things….” “Don’t feel bad. You still didn’t have a chance.” The young man smiled, and in his eyes, a hint of resignation was seen when he asked, “He didn’t really kill Irina?” The girl looked at him and said, “The truth is, I don’t know, but don’t worry, we’ll find out, take your fingers, and the battle is over.” The Deer ran to the building, climbed the stairs as fast as he could, and as he entered the room, he looked at the huge suffocated man and Amber sitting on the floor. The Deer finally breathed, he looked at Amber, and she was looking at him with tears in her eyes. Slevin looked around her again and asked, “What kind of i***t sends only one man for you...?” “There were six, but five vanished.” “It is a subject that multiplies, I see. You keep defending yourself very well ...” She looked up and said, “I do not think that is lost much.” The Deer sat on the floor across the room, took the dead man’s gas mask, and held it close to him when he said, “I’m sorry this happened. It was my fault….” “It’s not your fault that bastard is a maniac,” she said with a smile. The Deer smiled and looking at the suffocated man in front of the room. He said, “You beat Rocco Harrington, the man of steel. That guy could turn completely into steel. That’s impressive.” “It’s actually a stupid power to stand up to me.” “I don’t think so. He should just learn not to lose his mask.” They both laughed, and the Deer stood up, saying, “You can’t stay here anymore. We’ll find a better place.” The girl nodded and prepared to go to her room. The Deer with the gas mask in his hand placed it on his face. He noticed that it worked. He walked to one of Rocco’s gloves that were on the floor, and I place it, then he walked towards Amber. The girl looked at him and held her breath, caught inhabit, and being very close as he had not been a long time ago. He put his hand on the girl’s cheek. He was wiping her tears when he said, “I will never stop being with you until my skin can touch yours. That Amber, listen well. That I promise you!” The girl looked at him, and she felt the urge to kiss him to hug him. If only she could do that without killing him.
