“Then everything is not in order,” Slevin said very seriously. “They are also in position. They will attack at any moment.”
Thirty minutes passed. Karen and Slevin stood in the hallway near the guest rooms. She watched the Deer calmly while she did not stop monitoring her team constantly to avoid unpleasant surprises.
“Simon, are you active?” Karen asked somewhat anxiously.
“No, everything is unusually quiet.”
After those words, the door of the supposed chancellor’s assistant opened.
The young woman appeared in a robe and asked Karen directly, “Can you come for a second, sweetie?”
Slevin watched as both women disappeared behind the door of the room. The other guards on the floor walked and guarded the entrance of the elevator all calmly when the Slevin heard Simon say.
“Alert, all units! Intruder, floor ten, west windows!”
All the men got ready and pointed directly towards that wing, and the Deer watched with serenity when he once again heard Simon’s voice.
“Deer!”
But he did not finish the sentence because the door of room 109 flew out, bouncing strongly against the walls of the hotel corridor. All the soldiers pointed directly towards that place. But what came out puzzled everyone, including Slevin.
A metal man was walking out of the room. It was a creature that had a human shape but with its entire body covered in silver metal and, instead of a face, a huge black mirror that was divided by a red line where its nose should be. All the soldiers tensed, but it was Slevin who reacted soonest.
“Everyone alert!” He yelled tensely while looking at the creature seriously.
However, the warning still came late as the robot was already running towards them. All the weapons in the corridor fired in the direction of the intruder, but he did not seem to be affected by that. He made a giant leap that made his head touch the ceiling. He fell close to two of the soldiers and kicked them with such force that they were instantly unconscious. Then with a great display of speed, he positioned himself within the defensive lines and began to fight.
The soldiers could not shoot without hitting each other, and the robot would hit and defeat them one by one. The soldiers were flying and colliding with the walls and ceiling of the corridor. Slevin backed away, trying to understand what was happening when two shots rang out from the outside of the building.
“Deer, he is in room 108!!” Simon yelled frantically.
“Who?”
“Hanibal!”
Chaos took over the hallway when Room Eight opened its doors, and Hanibal King emerged with two nine-millimeter guns in hand. Slevin saw him through the mess his robot made. Just as the killer raised his hand to shoot Slevin, he stopped time.
In front of him, he saw how five men tried to defend themselves from a strange robot that Slevin did not understand, and meters away from him, Hanibal was about to start firing.
However, Slevin did not understand anything of what was happening, but he knew perfectly well that he had to act. In releasing time, he took Tom, one of the soldiers he had fought who was now next to him, and said to him.
“Enter the Chancellor’s room and put him in the panic room.”
After that, he ran towards the robot. Hanibal had started to shoot, and several soldiers were already falling wounded under his deadly shots. Slevin did not lose sight of his enemies and shooting in the direction of Hanibal, and he jumped to deliver a flying kick to the robot.
The robot stopped Slevin in midair, and, putting its two hands on the young man’s chest, it smashed him violently against the corridor wall. Without preventing this from stopping him, Slevin continued firing, forcing Hanibal to take cover in the room.
Then placing his knee on the robot’s chest, he moved it far enough to try to shoot him in the head, but he stopped his hand and deflected the shot.
Slevin stretched the leg he was using to push the robot away to further it away. After that, while using his hand and free leg, the Deer turned his body in a circular fashion to free himself from the grips and landed on the ground. He jumped on his back, still pointing straight ahead to the room where Hanibal was.
He turned to look at the robot that threw a strong punch in his direction, but he stopped time, calculated the trajectory, and evaded it by shooting the robot in the abdomen as he said, “Any shooter who has room 108 in his sights, shot!”
But there was no answer, the radio activated, and Simon said, “We are under attack!! We have multiple hostiles that came out of nowhere, and the damn fog came back!”
Hearing this, the Deer, using his rifle, fired on rods at times in the direction of the room where Hanibal was to keep him there and hiding at the edge of the entrance. He watched how the robot stood up.
“Everyone! Don’t attack him rashly! He is very strong! Keep your distance and shoot the sensitive head and chest areas!”
The soldiers sprang into action, and the Deer prepared to enter the room. When he turned to enter, time paralyzed, barely one of his eyes could look inside and saw how Hanibal fired in the direction of the opposite building.
As he entered, he raised his hand to shoot, but Hanibal had immediately thrown a chair in his direction.
The Deer stopped time. The chair was flying through the air, but he could clearly see Hanibal with one of his pistols aiming at the place where he calculated the Deer would end by evading the chair.
Slevin released the time and, jumping where he was, kicked the chair back to Hanibal for him to dodge it by rolling onto his back and trying to target the Deer with his weapon upon landing. Both men were standing up, pointing at each other. The Deer waited for the sniper to hit the shot, but this did not happen.
Many blazes of weapons were seen from the other building as Slevin pointed his rifle at Hanibal.
“He is dead!” Hanibal said, smiling. “Or he will be soon. I prepared something big for him.”
Simon covered himself at the entrance of the room, trying to repel the attackers, his powers did not work, and the attackers seemed to have no end. Suddenly the fog dissipated and going through the wall as if it were made of water. A man attacked him directly.
He ran in front of him with two knives in his hands, and Simon taking his handgun, fired in his direction, but the bullets went through him as if he was not there. When the man caught up to him, Simon evaded his knife attacks and kicked his head-on, dropping him away.
“You’re the Angel of death, right?”
“And you’re dead, right?” And with those words, Simon fired again, but the bullets were useless against that man who threw a kick to deflect Simon’s weapon and then jumped to stab him with his knives.
Simon, with a quick reaction, held his hands. The weight of the man-made him fall under his attacker, who was trying to stab him. The man with a frantic look was watching the soldier, and speaking through his teeth, he smiled.
“Time to die a little soldier.”
“We agree on that!”A voice said behind the fellow who, looking at him, saw how Billy was preparing to shoot him.
The subject became intangible again and crossed both Simon and the floor to leave that room.
Simon got up, panting and nodding, as he said, “That was unpleasant.”
The soldier tried to find a logical explanation for what he had seen, but nothing came to his mind.
Simon seeing his confusion, said, “I’ll explain everything, but now give me cover. They are alone in that building.”
Slevin kept pointing at Hanibal, trying to distract him and saying everything he could think of to achieve that goal.
“Simon has his sights on you, so don’t move.”
“Of course not….”
That phrase escaped Deer’s ears because, at that moment, he felt two strong hands lift him from the ground to crash him against the ceiling. The Deer felt a heavy blow as he listened to Hanibal laugh and say.
“Have fun, Deer!”
Hanibal went to the hall, and when he left, he saw how Karen and the Chancellor entered the elevator. The murderer began to shoot, but the women were already inside the elevator. He ran to the stairs and began to descend.
Climbing the same stairs, twelve soldiers were trying to reach the floor of the confrontation when they heard on their radios.
“Hanibal is on the stairs!! Stop him, shoot on sight!”
It was an order from Karen, and the men were going to follow it. Hanibal was speeding down two floors before meeting the men, and he activated his power.
