At the entrance of the warehouse, a robot was fighting hard against Johan, the machine had more strength than the beast-man, and he suffered from that lack. The robot had all the beast-man attack patterns from his last fight against one of them, and Johan couldn’t repel it.
“Johan,” Simon called out as he pointed his rifle, “If you immobilize him for a second, I will tear him to pieces. That’s how we defeated one, the Deer and I.”
Johan listened to Simon’s suggestion and pounced on the robot. It received him and, without too much effort, forced it to fall to the ground and began to strangle it. Johan released his neck, and holding it tightly, he raised its face so that Simon would shoot him, but the robot also had that ploy in its database.
The robot jumped to all it gave and evaded Simon’s shot to try to hit Johan hard, but while he was in the air, a table hit him and made him crash off the wall. Johan followed with his eyes to see who had thrown the table and that had been Trixie.
She was now paying attention to Jack, who was throwing multiple blows in her direction, and the girl stopped them all. Jack seemed appalled by the strength of the young woman, and when Gia was about to return to throw her sling on her, a shot that struck near her stopped her.
The girl hid under her desk, and Simon, activating hid power, had her in his sights. But out of nowhere, another robot appeared behind her. The young man noticed it just before the robot crushed his head with his feet. Simon rolled from where he was and, throwing himself into the void, escaped from him for the moment.
The boy used the harness he was attached to re-enter the building three stories below. The robot followed him without problems and, standing in front of him, Simon noticed it. The robots that had been fighting them were identical to the one in front of him.
All silver with no faces and with a black mirror where their faces should be. The shape of humans and a translucent protective layer that grew thicker on the chest. But the robot that was fighting Johan now was different. It had the same structure as the first ones, but all its color was black, like the mirror on his face. That must have made a big difference.
The robot threw itself towards him, and Simon, rolling onto his back to one side, managed to evade it. He pulled out a gun and started shooting at the robot, but it stopped everything with its arms.
Simon had already seen that before, and with a precision shot to the knee of the same, this stopped his advance and tilted the robot to one side. Simon used his speed and kicking the robot frontally, and he knocked it down.
The robot rolled on its back to being on all fours on the floor.
Simon struggled for breath as his opponent’s handheld him in the air out of a window from the building. The robot prepared to hit him, but Simon pointed his pistol at his face while, with his other hand, he held onto the arm that the robot used to strangle him.
The robot covered the barrel with his hand and yanked the pistol out of Simon’s hand. This, completely in pain, made an alternative plan.
With the hand that was holding the robot’s arm, he took a knife from his belt, and he nailed it to the robot’s elbow so that it would release him. This worked while simultaneously holding a grenade and kicking the robot. He sent it inside the building and threw the grenade on it.
Simon fell into the void, and his harness saved him once more, but the tension was so great that the rope broke, and Simon fell the remaining two floors until he landed on what looked like a bus stop and then on the ground.
The blow was brutal, and the young man saw everything blurry. The explosion in the building sounded and ablaze came out of the window of that office complex. The armless robot with half its face destroyed landed on the street looking at Simon, and he was taking a weapon that was at his ankle, pointed at his opponent, and fired to destroy what was left of its face.
Simon felt immense pain in his abdomen, and he could barely breathe. But a smile crossed his face, and he said with difficulty, “I’m the dam Angel of death. Remember it.”
At the side exit of the warehouse, a fight had started. Karen and Troy were standing next to each other to face Steven and Carolina.
The young woman raised both hands to stop the movement of the two enemies, but Troy was transported, making this impossible. He appeared on her, and taking her neck, he made her turn on the axis and fell hard against the ground.
Steven saw that with horror, and then when trying to locate Karen, she was no longer there. The young woman appeared in front of him, cutting her throat, but the doctor backing away was instantly cured.
The girl gritting her teeth in frustration continued to attack, and Steven was dodging as he backed away.
Karen was cornering him when she listened, “Karen, careful he is an expert in taekwondo!”
The girl lost sight of her target for a second, and a massive kick landed on her abdomen. Karen backed away only to feel another heavy impact on her face as Steven spun in midair. The girl backed away, but she refused to fall. The doctor advanced towards her crossing his legs in consecutive jumps and throwing an ax kick down. He wanted to hit her once more.
The young woman disappeared the instant the kick made contact and evaded it.
The doctor smiled and said, “Not because I dedicate myself to heal. It means that I cannot defend myself, girl.”
The invisible girl started her attack, but after the second step, she noticed that her footsteps made a loud noise on the ground. She stopped but didn’t make it in time, and Steven’s sweeping kick made contact with her, knocking her down.
After that, Steven jumped to land on her, but she became invisible, received the doctor with two kicks to the chin that made him fall completely.
She had a broken jaw, and the doctor had to heal from that very strong impact that almost made him lose consciousness. Looking up, she couldn’t make out Karen. The girl invisible to his sight didn’t seem to be there.
The doctor sharpened his hearing and tried to capture the movement of the young woman, suddenly he felt a sound behind him and what he saw was a military boot on the ground, the doctor turned his face in another direction and saw a barefoot Karen whipping his face with the other boot. The girl propitiated two more stabs and a strong blow that made the doctor fall over the railing towards the first floor.
The fall was such that the doctor was unconscious, he seemed to have broken his neck, and the young woman was about to go down to check it, but at that moment, she felt an invisible force that made her fly away from where she was and land face down on the ground.
The young woman saw Carolina approach her while Troy disappeared and appeared in front of them. The girl made him fly with her hands and away from her each time, but the protector kept coming back with his power.
At one point, Karen stood up and tried to move towards them, but she heard the sound of footsteps behind her. She turned and saw the doctor attack her. He was trying to drive a tiny knife into her stomach, and she had put her hand in at the last moment.
The knife was going through her hand violently while the young woman buried her knife in the doctor’s abdomen.
They both looked at their faces. Their eyes were reflected in each other’s, and she heard the doctor say while taking his neck with his free hand, “I’m sorry, but you will die just like your friend.”
And with those words, he used her power to open every wound that Karen had had in her life. Karen felt the power of the doctor flowing through her body, and when all was done, the young woman smiled.
The doctor’s eyes widened, and he tried to speak only to be interrupted by Karen, who said, “Sorry, I have never been seriously injured in my life. A healthy life pays up.”
And with those words, the young woman hit the doctor’s face with her head, and as he fell, she fell on hers, burying her knife as deep as she could on the doctor’s abdomen.
“I bet you can’t cure this,” the young woman said slowly as Dr. Steven died.
