Within seconds all the guards at the entrance were completely eliminated, as Hanibal said calmly, “All right, guys spread out and look for the Deer” after that, he took a radio in his hand and spoke through it, saying, “Rudy darling. Wait for the signal at the escape point.”
After that, Hanibal’s companions dispersed through the various paths of the building. The man looked at a small guide that was in the reception, and when he looked more closely, he saw the two receptionists on the floor hiding behind their desks.
“I have to assume you haven’t seen a Deer around here, right?” Hanibal asked curiously, with an innocent smile on his face.
The terrified young women did not react to the question and laughter of their attacker, who set out to find his target. Simon looked out the window, checking that his powers could already be activated perfectly.
He turned to see Jerome and Trixie, who could now stand alone and said,“Something is not right...”
The uproar of a few minutes ago had stopped, but all the building’s alarms had gone off. That only meant something, an attack on that place.
Simon took a gun and, looking at Trixie, said, “You and I look for Troy and Johan, you Jerome, stay with Nicol, protect her.”
The young man was going to discuss Simon’s decision but a stern look from his partner convinced him to keep quiet.
Simon and Trixie went out to find their companions while the alarms and emergency lights stunned their ears and kept pace with the disjointed races of the other people in that place.
Jerome walked to the office where Nicol was, and the girl was looking out the window. The young man approached and, somewhat indignant, and then said in restrained frustration, “You shouldn’t be looking for the killer’s location!”
When the girl said, “They blocked my entry, and I can no longer enter the system. I do not know what happened….”
A few streets from that place, the Deer and Karen were approaching in the car. The enormous fog that surrounded the building had disappeared.
Instead of covering the building, it now surrounded it, covering everything around it except the building itself.
Karen and the Deer got out of the car, and they saw thousands of people running in all directions, some fleeing the conflict that was taking place in the building.
The young people looked at each other confused and made up the remaining distance on foot, and they knew something was wrong when suddenly, from the third floor, a huge desk went through a window to land on the shattered floor.
The Deer looked at Karen and asked, “What the heck is happening?”
The girl did not answer. Instead, they headed more quickly towards the building. The main door was smashed, and many people left the place screaming.
On the ground, there were corpses and wounded people who had put up resistance to the attackers. Karen was approached by one of the agents who said, “Those men! They are not human…!”
Karen turned her head to make eye contact with the Deer, who had immediately understood the situation. The two youngsters rushed into the building, and they had to get to where the attackers were, although they both already knew who it was.
Hanibal had entered a place full of offices separated by glass walls, and everything could be seen in all directions, and men were running between them to try to get into a better defensive position. Hanibal knew they would move against him and activated his advanced power.
A blue projection of himself made a quick circuit between the offices showing the best moves for the assassin to make. This followed the guide, and running in several directions and shooting at the same time achieving his objective.
Hanibal had to determine an objective based on his ability to show him the best way to achieve it, and the objective in this situation was to survive the attack of the agents. Which sometimes meant running and taking cover, while at other times, it meant killing them before they could get to him.
The glass walls of the offices fell and broke in the intensity of the bullet hail, but none of those bullets lodged in the assassin’s body. The man turned and fired firmly, taking down all of his enemies in a matter of minutes.
He cleaned the entire office area and advanced to a huge corridor where out of nowhere, a surprise attack planted itself in his face and sent him flying through the air.
The blond assassin landed in a much larger room than the previous one. This one was full of weight training machines and had mirrors on all the walls.
Hanibal breathed hard when he got up, the blow had been considerably strong, and his power hadn’t prevented it. Looking at who walked through the door, he realized that he was a tall black man with braids tied into a ponytail.
His smile widened when he saw that his assailant was Troy. The killer got up and spitting blood as he touched his cheek with his hand. He said, “Troy, the protector. Yes, sir, the Deer is looking for influential friends, right?”
Smiling, Troy squeezed his left wrist with his right hand as he said, “The Deer and I are not friends, and we just have the same enemy.”
The blond young man was brushing off his pants and spitting blood before asking, “And do I know that enemy?”
“Yes, you know him!” He heard the murderer from the other side of the room. “It’s a human garbage named Hanibal!”
The blond young man turned to observe who was speaking and what he saw was a strange creature.
His hands looked like claws while his hair-covered legs flexed in strange ways, and on his face, a murderous look accompanied by fangs with a scar on his right shoulder.
“Johan, is it you?”
The young man walked in the direction of the assassin, clenching his teeth furiously.
“I did not recognize you with that aspect, but that shoulder, that beautiful scar, I do remember it.”
Johan took the shoulder where he had the scar and said, “This will be my chance to return this gift to you...”
Hanibal, who was smiling while he looked at his opponents, said, “Well, let’s not waste time, friends. Let us begin.”
At the office, Nicol tried to make her way back to the city’s camera system but couldn’t get in.
Somehow every time she sat at the computer, it made some kind of inadvertent arrangement to make her entry into the system even more difficult.
Jerome saw the young woman typing and did not understand the process of what she was doing. Out of nowhere, the young woman looked up and said, “Something is not right with me!”
After those words, the front door flew out in their direction. Jerome jumping on the young Nicol, managed to evade the impact by a little. The door flew all the way until smashing the window and falling on the ground of the street below.
Jerome getting up, puzzled, saw how a young man leaned against the door frame. The boy smiled as he looked at him over dark glasses and said, “Do you guys know where I can find the Deer?”
On the outskirts, everyone was screaming, and gunshots matched the sound of battle. Jerome stood up and, looking directly at his opponent, said, “The Deer cannot attend you at this moment, friend. But if you don’t mind. I will deliver your message.”
“Are you sure you want to do that, kid? The message means that I, Jack, will give him a dignified death,” the young man said with a smile.
But the moment Jack finished his sentence, a lightning bolt that was born from Jerome’s fingers, hit him causing him to fly away from the door through several glass walls and fall on a desk very far from the office where the young man was.
“I’m sure I’ll tell him that you said that, Jack...”
Jerome looked at the young woman and said, “Stay here. I’ll see what happens outside.”
Jerome headed for the office entrance. He looked at how the man had made many holes in the glass walls that divided the cubicles, and when he looked out into the corridor, he saw how a young woman held the head of one of the agents until he began to bleed from the ears.
Jerome, without hesitating for a second next to his fingers and with all the speed that he was able to conjure, threw a flash of lightning identical to the one he had hit on Jack and directed it towards the young woman.
The girl tried to evade it, but she couldn’t move fast enough, and the lightning hit her. He was making her rise off the ground and crash into the wall behind her.
Jerome was breathing hard, but he didn’t have time to calm down, another man appeared behind him.
