“What?” Mel asked, and it wasn’t clear to whom that question was addressed, so both Benny and Liam began to repeat themselves at the same time.
“Whoooooaaaa. One at a time. Benny?”
“Why are you wearing Liam’s hoodie?”
“Because society frowns on people walking around naked in public.”
Benny’s face went red considering the situation and what she might or might not be wearing under it.
“But why do you have it?”
“He gave it to me because he was tired of seeing me naked,” she said with a particularly nasty grin.
Benny was slowly turning purple.
“Liam,” he said with dangerous calmness, “have you seen my fishwife naked?”
“Uh…just the once, which is why she had my hoodie. I wasn’t trying to see…all…that. I guess she wasn’t naked-naked. She did have on a swimsuit top.”
