The kingdom of Arindale is a country that holds a great military which has accomplished feats that have brought the kingdom's prosperity for generations. And amongst those generations is the current generation, with the country having multiple influential individuals of great strength. Having unbelievable talents and obtaining many merits through their own respective Fields be it swordsmanship, Magic, Politics and more. They have gained so many achievements that they have gained power and authority in the kingdom. But despite all of this they all have something similar. They all call a single man their master. A sword master that was said to be even stronger than the knight commander of the Knights, magic that far surpassed the commander of the magic division and cunningness that even the Prime minister couldn't match his wits. Where is the said man right now?. Well..... "training early in the morning I see" "Henry Sensei!" "it's good that you have such a drive sayaka" "obviously! one day I'll become a knight!" 'A knight huh.' 'I also once had a dream I pursued but.' 'I learned of my own lack of talent.' 'No matter how hard I try I wouldn't be able to reach the peak that I desire.' 'I'm just an old man after all.' 'All I have is the swordsmanship that I have honed for years and a little bit of magic.' 'and right now I'm the current head and owner of this sword dojo' the dojo he is currently leading is from his father who had retired. many disciples have stayed with him to help with the dojo. but even then he didn't enjoy his life but decided to put all his time and effort into training young kids who have great potential. as a result he is still single and doesn't have a family of his own while his disciples have become renowned individuals and are married. some even become official's. 'sigh, That long dream has already come to an end there is no point in thinking about it' "Sensei why did you not become an adventurer?, with your skills and swordsmanship not to mention your magic you could have become a well known adventurer!, maybe an S rank adventurer!" 'ahh, how great it is to not be aware of reality.... indeed where has my vigor gone?' the man smiled then answered his disciple. "sayaka I'm in no more than an old man with some skills, I'm no great individual that is all" hearing this sayaka was puzzled and speechless. she along with the other disciples all fully aware of what their teacher could actually do. they are more than aware of his true capabilities. but he himself isn't aware of this. they have been trying to tell him that for a long time but he has not accepted that. and amongst his former disciples a few had actually known the true extent of his strength. and some had their own plans in regards to that. "but Sensei is strong you could cut a tree with a wooden sword and split a boulder with a blunt sword" sayaka answered with a straight and awkward expression. "but anyone can do that with enough training, what I did was nothing special" ".... Sensei you really need some help" sayaka replied. 'her Gaze is painful' Henry sweat dropped from this. "sayaka strength doesn't come from physical power alone, to define strength depends on your own will to obtain any actual form of power something that I lacked" 'I gave up too soon, had I trained harder would I have achieved anything?... sigh, again with this useless thinking' but sayaka had other things in mind. 'sensei actually thinks his weak.... underestimating himself is really painful to look at, but that doesn't change our respect for him' Henry is powerful but also kind and gentle. he is known by many as a swords saint without his knowledge. despite his own lack of confidence in his strength none of his disciples disrespect him, in fact they completely respect and love him as their master. more than anything else they wish that he would one day come to know and understand his own strength. .................. Henry's life was just an ordinary simple life. each day he trains his students while also training himself. even though he stopped pursuing his dreams he still trains himself to maintain his strength. right now he is just wandering around the forest looking for some boar's to catch for dinner. "huh, I wonder why there aren't any boars around usually they would flood the place" wild boars are the typical meat they use since they have a big population within the forest. but right now. there aren't any he could find which he finds strange. "I guess I should check deeper" henry as a swordsman is also one of the protectors of the Village. defending the village from the beast and Monsters is his job. since this world is roaming with demonic beasts and Monsters it is essential for him to deal with them and the deeper you go to the forest the more dangerous it is. although he is well aware of this he doesn't completely understand the normal comparison for strength. that's why he sometimes misunderstood demon boars as normal wild boars. demon boars are giant boars that are ranked as C to B Rank monsters. and despite that he hunts them like everyday wild boars. this is also testament to his strength and then again he is oblivious to this. Henry is not stupid he is just unaware of the norm when it comes to strength and power. since he has never won against his father. that alone caused his common sense and logic to be twisted. "(sigh), still none" Henry finds this really strange. demon boars are aggressive and attack humans that's why they roam near human settlements. and right now he is deep within the forest 5km away from the village. Henry was using his senses and Mana perception to look for them but then he saw some traces of fighting. "this..." he could tell from the trees that magic was used and many of them are also destroyed. "Something must have happened here" Henry looked around then saw a broken carriage. he immediately went to check and saw some men wounded and unconscious. "Their wounds are deep some monsters must have attacked them" he looked at the surroundings. He pondered deeply when suddenly. 'BANG!'. Henry was looking at a beast in front of him with his sword drawn. "I knew something was following me" Henry narrowed his eyes as he looked at the beast in front of him. it was a wolf with white silver fur. it was huge towering him. lightning was surrounding its body. "oi oi oi, you have got to be kidding me why is something like this here?" Henry has an idea of what the beast in front of him is. it is one of the most dangerous beasts known to humans. They are creatures that could destroy even cities. one of the few S Rank Monsters that are considered as calamities. Fenrir the Devine wolf. Henry could feel the mana emanating around this beast. "I see so you're the reason for this huh" "A human is brave enough to talk to me like that" Henry was startled. 'it can talk? no way, this guy is really a divine wolf?, this is bad if I let him be then the village would be destroyed, but I don't even know if I could scratch him' that alone is not the only problem. their current location is near the open plains and the road towards the capital. if worse comes to worse than this giant wolf would target more carriages, not even the capital would be spared. 'those damages weren't made by a wolf though, something else must have attacked the carriages' Henry wondered, despite Fenrir's being divine wolf and having the power to destroy cities they are also in fact not interested in humans. they won't harm you as long as you don't attack them. "Fenrir let us talk this out" "hahahahaha you are a brave one but you have the right for that, I could feel the strong mana inside your body" 'strong mana?, but I'm not that strong' "anyways I want to ask were you the one who attacked them?" "those humans? and what if I was the one who attacked them?" the Devine wolf smiled viciously. 'seriously I'm just an old man! why am I in such a situation!' "since we've settled that let us fight human" the wolf launched itself towards Henry. Henry seeing this didn't hesitate. 'concentrate' 'shh' Henry disappeared from his spot. 'hoh? what an interesting human' the next second a sword was coming to his side targeting his abdomen. the wolf king dodged then tried to bite Henry. "Eight petals bloom" with swift movements Henry used one of his techniques. his sword slicing at Fenrir. 'this human is exceptional' Henry poured his mana into the sword. a pale blue glow appeared on his sword. "Moonlight crescent" Henry disappeared. "not this time human" 'GRR' Lightning circulated around the Fenrir. then. "AWWOOO~" A burst of lightning spreads through out the surroundings. bang! a sudden explosion. dust and dirt flew everywhere. "hoh? not bad" what appeared in front of him was Henry standing with some minor injuries. 'if I wasn't fast enough to put up that magic barrier I would have died' "Fenrir how about this I'll attack with my strongest and if I win you let me and the others go" "and if I win?" "obviously you decide our faith" "hahahah amusing, alright then human do your worst" ' Obviously i don't think I could win but it's do or die!' Henry poured his mana into his fingertips. 'if this fails then we're dead' for the past 10 years of his life he had trained to use magic, and one of the things he was able to achieve was imprinting enchantments on his sword. it is similar to strengthening magic but a bit different. this is a technique where he could turn a simple sword into a magic sword by giving it certain properties such as sharpness or hardness etc. right now he is putting sharpness on the sword. of course the level of sharpness depends on his mana, magic control and the amount of mana he will put. it only took him 30 seconds. he then poured all his remaining mana on body strengthening. "here I come" "COME HUMAN!" "Absolute severance: TWILIGHT BREAK!" Fenrir was shocked by the strength behind this. he immediately put all his mana into making a defense barrier. Henry had charged at him with enough strength to actually kill him. he put everything into defense. although he was able to make a barrier Barrier. 'c***k' It wasn't enough. "Guuh!?" Henry sliced through and even did some sever damage cutting deep into the Fenrir's chest. Henry seeing that his attack connected sighed a relief. he swung his word down taking the blood off his sword. 'this human' "(sigh) seems like I won wolf king, and as we agreed upon me and the others will live" "G-guh, indeed t-to think you were able to take down my barrier" "well luck was on my side" 'Guh, kukuku seems so human so what do you plan to do with me now?" "hmm? well nothing really" the wolf king was a bit surprised by that response. "you say that but weren't we enemies just a while ago?" "hm? yes but there really isn't a point in me killing you is there? in fact let me heal you" the wolf king was surprised by Henry's action. "this is pointless human why go so far as to healing me?" "why? well I don't really have much of a reason" the Fenrir was speechless. "you would gain nothing from this" "(chuckle) true but I can't just leave you here to die right?" this really surprised the wolf king. 'despite having great power he isn't greedy nor is he like those other humans' "aren't you quite naive" "indeed this is naive thinking, I guess it's just my selfish nature of not wanting any unnecessary killing" "that way of thinking will cost you your life" Fenrir looked at the man waiting for his response. "indeed such action would be anything but stupid" "exactly such unnecessary actions would be the death of you one day" the wolf king responded but the next moment she felt something from the man, it was something he didn't have when they fought. bloodlust. 'this!' "don't misunderstand kindness as weakness, wolf king even I know when to and not to help" the wolf king didn't expect that. "then why help me?" Henry answered. "this is my way of thanking you for saving those knights" the wolf king was surprised. "so you knew?" "hahaha of course, I may be old but I know my stuff, those attacks weren't made by you indeed some scratches suggested a wolfs claw but" the damages were too small compared to what Fenrir was capable of, and even if she wasn't serious the scratches were too small compared to her claws. 'I see he is kind in nature but can be brutal if necessary, what an interesting character for a human, not to mention he is amusing fufu' "plus if you had really wanted me dead then I wouldn't even be able to do a scratch on you" this time the Fenrir was confused. "what do you mean human?" "you were holding back weren't you?" the wolf king was even more confused. 'holding back?, it's True that I didn't use more destructive magic but I was never someone who would hold back in a fight' she was confused why this man assumed that she was holding back against him. "you know I have walked the way of the sword but... I never achieved anything despite my old age, (chuckle) it's a bit embarrassing" 'wait don't tell me he isn't aware of his actual strength?' the wolf king was able to grasp Henry's misunderstanding of his own strength. "human, you are strong so have more confidence" "hahaha I thank you for that" 'he doesn't believe me huh, seems like something gave him a misconception of strength' while they were talking they felt some movements. "I guess she couldn't hide her curiosity" "well she was watching our fight earlier" "True, well then let's meet the girl" Henry stands up then walks towards a nearby tree. "lass you can come out now we know you're there" suddenly a girl with blue long hair and golden eyes walked towards them. "w-who are you"
