Slowly, days passes turning into weeks, Weeks passes turning into months. And the family is starting to get well settled in their new environment. Mobola is in a very good school, and it was there she celebrated her thirteenth birthday a week ago with her mother, and her friends at school. Mobola wouldn't stop talking about how she wants to celebrate her birthday in her school, she told her parents that it is the tradition of her high school that new students celebrate their first birthdays in the classroom with treats for the teachers and the kids. Whatever tradition that is. But her parents did throw a blast for her, even Claire was in attendance. After the school celebration Mr Nndanusa took them all, Mobola, her mother and Claire out to eat in a very special restaurant surrounded by water. It is called the sea spot. It was indeed the best day for Mobola. Mrs Ayo has started a job of her own, just not to be idle and mostly because she was bored for the days she had to just sit down at home doing nothing, and wait untill Mobola and her husband gets home. The company Mr Nndanusa is working with has started a project and that makes him come home rather late every night. So Mrs Ayo started to run a business of clothes distribution from Miami to Nigeria. She employed many young girls in Nigeria, basically just for empowering them. She sends in the goods with little to no profit on her end and they sell it out for any amount of their choice. Life is good and they were happy with how things are going. But not every member of the family is. Back in Nigeria, Mrs Talatu still feels very much jilted, she walk around in the house complaining about every single thing. The maids are starting to leave the house one after the other, leaving just the head maid and the gate man. The head maid has always tried to get her hands on Mrs Talatu phone just to take her boss's Florida number, and call him to tell him about Mrs Talatu's aggressiveness of late but to no avail. Mrs Talatu has even sent her kids to a boarding school, changing their school entirely. One day the head maid heard a conversation between Mrs Talatu and her visitor in the living room. "Ahan, you are the one that allowed it at the beginning now. Someone you're supposed to have locked a long time ago hmmm shioo" the guest said "Lock him as how? I never knew he could do something like this to me, if you see the way he was even talking, he said I am smelling that I am not presentable ehn Iya Shade, imagine, me?" Mrs Talatu said with so much hurt in her voice "Sheybi all those times I use to tell you to come to meetings with me, you'll be saying ehn kinikan kinikan, you cannot oh, ehn you're a Christian, where has Christianity led you to, no be you be this? Shioo" "I'll go oo Iya Shade, if that is what it takes. Ahan Nusa has bit me hard this time and this time I shall bite him back very hard, when can we go?" "Well, you'll have to promise not to speak of this to any soul first, then we shall go today or tomorrow" "I promise you my mouth is sealed hmm" Though the maid couldn't fully understand what it all means and set back to go by her business. It's their family issues, not her's. On a Saturday morning, Mr Nndanusa and his wife were talking about a business dinner that is happening that very night." Will we take Mobola along? We can't just leave her alone in the house" Mrs Ayo suggested "No she won't follow us, there'll be too much to drink and she'll be bored out of her wit cause there's no kids of her age attending, I'll arrange for Claire to come stay with her for the night" Mr Nndanusa responded "Ok, that is good then, I hope my gown is already on its way" The bell rang, "Oh that must be it" she stood up to go answer it. It was her gown being delivered, she collected it and close the door. She was so excited she practically snatched the wrappings off "Oh my God it's so gorgeous" "Go try it on" her husband suggested. She went to the room to do that, she came out giggling from ear to ear, and her husband was astonished "Darling you look so hot wow" he said in amazement "Mobola come see your mother" Coming out of her room to the sitting room, Mobola stopped abruptly seeing her mother. " Mummy you look so beautiful, this looks great on you" "Thank you, thank you, I love it so much, thanks baby" Mrs Ayo replied, going to give her husband a hug, Mobola join in on the hug, "Aww, come here" Mr Nndanusa said carrying Mobola to his left arm and hugging his wife in the other. "I love you guys so much" he said kissing them both on their foreheads. The night came, and Claire was already at their house. The couple got dressed for their dinner and wave bye to Mobola and Claire. Mobola has grew fund of Claire, she has started to mimic her accent and Claire finds it soothing. Mrs Ayo knew her daughter is in good hands, so she decided to just have fun tonight with the love of her life. They got to the party and it has already started. Everyone was so welcoming and cheerful, champagne was in the air so non of their glasses were empty. Mr Nndanusa introduces his wife to a couple of friends and shenanigans. And also to some high class ladies, who instantly invited her to their sorority club. She has had too much to drink and wouldn't stop laughing. They both danced through the night and ate good American dishes. When it was time for her husband's speech she was up cheering him on. He delivered a great speech with spiced jokes in between. He is a wonderful man with so much intellectual strength. When he got off the stage, she rushed to his arm to give him a mind blowing kiss, not minding that people are watching, perhaps she was too tipsy to care or perhaps at the back of her mind she knew people doesn't find it distasteful here. When it was time to go home, they greeted everyone and made their way out to the front porch. They waited for their Uber that is supposed to be there by now but apparently was stucked on traffic. They had to wait for about 15 minutes until it can get to them, "That's too long" Mrs Ayo said. They cancel the order and requested for another Uber, but that one won't get there for another 30mins. They decided to wait for it and go inside for food to take home for Mobola and Claire. Thirty minutes later, their Uber arrived and they went outside to it, then Mrs Ayo noticed she was missing an earring. "Just leave it, you'll get another one" her husband said. "No I love this one, I really love it, I'll go look for it" she said in a pout. They went back inside to look for it. Sadly they couldn't find it and decided to go back outside to their Uber that is waiting, but their Uber has already left. "Oh come on" Mrs Ayo lamented upon getting out to see their Uber has canceled their order and left. Then they ordered another one again, which arrived few minutes late. They got in the car and was yawning in fatigue. Mrs Ayo rested her head on her husband's shoulder and he petted her lovingly. The traffic has started to wear off and there is so much room for speeding now, the driver speeds off perhaps more than the speed limits but they didn't complain cause the road is empty and the air is blazing in gracefully. Moments later they got to a red sign yet the driver didn't stop, and there is a car ahead, coming right in front of them. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" Mrs Ayo screams. "Driver Press on the brake" Mr Nndanusa shouted to the driver "It wouldn't bulg, I've been hitting it hard" he tried to swerve to an empty street but it was too late their car was hit in the front and it summersaults a couple of times before banging on a tree.
