As the crowd congratulated Tobin and welcomed him as the new leader, I looked at Elijah and said, "I need to contact Basil."
"Basil as in Luna Basil?" Elijah asked.
"Yes."
"How do you plan to do that?" He asked me.
"Come with me," I said as I lifted my head off of his shoulder and began to walk away. I walked past several coven members and into the woods. When we were a distance from the coven, I stopped and looked at Elijah.
"Watch," I said as I summoned a knife and cut the palm of my hand. I bent down to the ground and began to chant. My blood flowed into the earth and would travel to Basil, signaling I would need her.
