Camila eased the hatch closed behind her, heart hammering in the abandoned Montauk lighthouse. The wind howled against the rusted metal, and the beam of the lighthouse spun slowly above, casting their small refuge in shifting pools of moonlight. Julian leaned against the cold stone wall, sweat beading on his forehead despite the sea breeze.
