A cold, rolling fog blanketed the Montauk lighthouse before sunrise, tendrils of mist curling up the rusted metal stairs. Camila crouched behind a waist-high barricade of driftwood crates she'd hauled in last night, eyes flicking across the rocks where commandos in black armor fanned out, rifles raised. Their NVG goggles glowed sickly green. “Mommy?" Lucas's voice trembled through her comm badge. He stood beside her, hood pulled over his damp hair, clutching Bear's GPS tracker. “They're everywhere." Camila slipped a hand to his shoulder. “It's okay, baby. We'll get you out." She met Julian's steely gaze across the small clearing.
