Although her cruelest tricks were reserved for Meris, she was not the only focus of Lauren’s hostility. Lauren was quick with criticism toward her fellow teammates, mostly those outside her little clique. Her disdain for Shar, Natalie and Evan was frequently expressed in verbal digs in the meadow or rec room, but Meris also caught the occasional slights she cast in Sarah’s direction.
Sarah’s weight problem was no secret, but she was a hard worker and Nicholas seemed to like her. Of course, appreciation for anything other than Lauren was unacceptable.
