Chapter 2 : Yes? Yes!

“aw.” he groaned in pain when I placed the ice bag underneath his right eye.

“Be careful, it still hurts.” he complained, I rolled my eyes and gently tapped the ice bag on the spot where I punched him just a minute ago.

It's a good thing that there is an refrigerator here and an ice bag for his bruise.

“That's what you get for cornering me awhile ago, and do I look like an object for you to call me your property?” I annoyedly mentioned that I accidentally pressed the bag too tightly.

He grabbed my hand and looked at me sharply but it slowly weakened.

“I didn't mean to make you feel like that, but I did mean it when I told you, you're mine.” He said seriously before grinning.

“good news, you guys can get out now, go have lunch at the cafe... teria, uh?” We both looked at the nurse who suddenly opened the door, I instantly removed my arm from his grasp.

“great, I can finally get out of here.” He spoked before removing the bandages on his leg.

The nurse looked at me in confusion accompanied with disgust.

“I was trying to.. ” nevermind, there's no point in explaining.

In the end of the day, they still see me in a bad light.

I raised the ice bag at her before putting it on top of the the cabinet beside the bed, I stood up and carried my bag.

Before I could even ask her about where my other stuffs were, she walked passed me to where he is.

“..ok?” I guess I'm just gonna look for it myself.

when I found my shoes I immediately wore it.

“Are you sure you're fine already? what's that on your face--” I heard a slapping sound that's why I suddenly looked back at them.

“Keep your hands to yourself, I don't I have to tell you everything.” I instantly looked away when our eyes met.

After gathering my things, I bid my farewell and thanks after leaving.

So that's how he normally acts around people, if the potion expires I can already expect the opposite treatment.

I need to stay away from him as possible, I don't have any reason to get involved with him anymore, anyways.

Though I still have to find an antidote if I really want this to end.

“you left something. ” I heard him from behind, with his usual playful tone.

I sighed before turning to him, I waited for him to reach me.

“Me.” he continued, I just continued walking after hearing that.

I heard him chuckled huskily.

“Join me for lunch.” he interrupted again.

“I'm fine, I can eat on my own.” I replied.

“I wasn't asking, I'm ordering you to join me, I still can't carry everything on my own, after this bruises you cause-” I didn't let him continue.

“Alright, fine.”

I'm mentally screaming, that was so embarrassing of you Anya!

He is seriously making me feel so guilty about it.

When we reached the cafeteria, ya'll can't imagine how glad I was to find the place empty.

“You're a fifth year student, right?” he started to ask.

“uh, yes.” I shortly replied.

“In what class?” I looked at him in the eye, in his dark blue eyes.

I only notice now, since it's a really dark shade of blue for me to see it clearly.

Now that I notice, why doesn't he have a girlfriend yet?

“how is that question even included in this conversation?” I asked, he shrugged.

“I don't know, you tell me, would you run after this?” he questioned back, I frozed for a sec.

'why, of course.'

“I-I mean i wouldn't exactly run.” I stuttered in a faint voice.

“I'll find out eventually, even if you don't tell me, I'm just asking so you won't be surprise by then. ” he said in a stoic low voice, I felt uneasy.

“It doesn't make it less creepy.” I admitted, squinting my eyes at his direction, what is wrong with this guy.

Though I do appreciate the thought of asking me before anybody else, but still.

“Then I'll just asked you, better now? what do you want to eat?” he asked before pointing at the display case next to the counter.

I got two trays, and picked myself an orange juice, water bottle, chicken salad and for dessert a chocolate peanut butter avocado pudding.

Maven High is so luxurious, that everything is build extravagantly by it's founder, that's why many spoiled kids study here.

Even the cafeteria has a buffet, and don't get me started with the two gymnasiums, and swimming pool area.

“What's yours?” I asked, He raised his eyebrow at me.

“Oh, that's for me? I thought you were gonna take everything.” he teased, I glared at him.

“just a risotto and water.” he answered, trying his best to hide the arrogant smile on his face.

After getting the water I looked for a risotto, my brows then furrowed.

“um, there's no-”

“Here it is, a newly cooked risotto.” I was surprise by the sudden rushing of an old women to us, holding a plate of risotto.

“Um, Thanks.” she nodded before looking down on his tray which I was holding, she had a disturbed expression.

“Let's go.” he interrupted before pushing me to the cashier counter.

It seemed to me that even here in the cafeteria, he's not treated lightly.

I brought out my money and at the same time he was also reaching a black card to the cashier.

We looked at each other.

“I'm paying/I can pay.” we both uttered.

“My treat.” he calmly said.

“You don't need to, I have enough money.” I politely said while giving the cashier my pay, his eyes gloomed.

I don't wanna feel indebted at all, he might come at me just cause he treated me to a lunch.

“How about we just split it?” I continued, cause I feel like he's going to eat me alive if I pay his.

“ok.” I believe it took him courage to say that.

I knew he would have such an ego.

I carried the trays to the nearest table, honestly I can't wait for this day to end.

“Awhile ago at the game, you were running towards..?”

“Noah.” I answered uneasily, he nodded.

“ah, That's why you seemed familiar, you were that 'creepy fangirl' Jacob was talking about.” I coughed the food I was eating at the word 'creepy'.

He then offered me his bottled water to which I accepted.

“What?! He said I'm creepy?”

I exclaimed unbelievably.

“yeah, pretty much, I heard you were always present when they were training for our upcoming game, too bad I wasn't there, huh.” he shared.

Yup, If you weren't so lazy and just skipped all your trainings.

“that gossiping bastard.” I whispered while looking down.

“what?” he asked.

I smiled sarcastically.

“nothing, Actually I was there to help the cheerleader about the banners, decorations and stuff.” I explained, though I know for myself that was just an excuse.

It hurts that they think I'm creepy, alright?

Those were just the least normal things a fan could do.

I wasn't even harrassing him or something, I was purely showing my support.

“you seem to hate Jacob.”

I gave him a half-heartedly smile.

“I don't hate him nor do I like him, especially that he's known for his bad reputation with girls.” I composedly clarified.

“you hate him.” he declared, now grinning.

“I don't.” I insisted.

An hour ago, I don't.

“you do, just admit it, you hate how he breaks girls.” he smirked mischieviously again.

“Go on a date with me/Okay! I admit it, yes-” I paused.

whoa, hold up.

“What-” he cut me off.

That was a trap?! this sly bastard.

“You just said yes on a date with me.” he grinned at his successful attempt.

How did he planned this by the minute?! I just planned on avoiding him and now what.

“No I-” why do i keep getting interrupted.

Suddenly the bell rang but before it could continue I moved my finger to stop it for a bit.

“We both know that I didn't.” he looked at me innocently while chewing before reaching for his water bottle and dranked it.

I gaped and was left dumbfounded from the sight,

That was an indirect kiss, My reserved kiss only to.. shoot, I let go of the bell.

“ha? couldn't hear you.”

I can't be seen having a friendly lunch with him, they would think otherwise.

“I'll be going first, thanks for your company.” I stood up from my seat and grabbed my bag.

His dark blue eyes distorted, but I was already near the exit.

Running the hell out of there, and just as I expected a swarm of students were already heading to the cafeteria.

The loud shrieking of the bell was slowly disappearing.

I hurriedly turned around and luckily walked passed a girl's comfort room.

I locked the door the minute I entered the room.

“I'm so screwed.”
