CHAPTER FIFTEEN Lauren had no second thoughts about what to do with Rose. As a culpable party, she deserved punishment. Once she was dead, Kathy would be vindicated. That would be almost as good as the vindication she planned for the Yarrows. So, while Lauren awaited her return, she put on gloves and searched the master bedroom for a weapon. She found a loaded handgun under a wad of T-shirts in the bottom dresser drawer. She smirked at their foolishness in choosing an obvious hiding spot. The nightstand and dresser were the first places anyone would look. She didn’t wait long. In less than a half-hour, Rose came in, making a great deal of clattering. She kick-shut the door as she juggled a bag of groceries in each hand. Lauren held the gun out of sight as she looked up from the sofa.
