“What?” I asked one more time because--- yeah, I had to be hearing things!
Alpha?!
Was there something in our water this morning? My wolf asked, gaping at the people who had now ushered us into my private office to discuss the whole thing.
“You heard me,” Eddie said confidently, and sat down in my chair, looking rather smug about it. “We took a vote, and it was unanimous.”
"When?" I asked--- rather than instantly declining it. Because none of this made any sort of sense. Who in their right mind would want me as their Alpha? For one, I didn't have a ranked wolf, and secondly, I was a Doctor! I didn't know the first thing about leading a Pack. Let alone how to play nice with other Packs and form alliances. There was a reason why Alphas trained for years to take over.
