I finally realized something…
Why did the second-in-command of the entire vampire army not smell like a vampire? .. Because he was a Demon, and if I wasn’t completely off my mark, he was another HellHound!
And a pure blood at that!
I tensed my body, ready for an attack. I had no idea how this guy had remained hidden in the middle of a Vampire Nest. Clearly nobody knew what he was, otherwise a guy like Vern wouldn’t have hesitated to use him in a battle. Especially when the maniac was striving for World Domination. Also, I had no idea which one of us would come out the victor, since I’d never faced off against another demon before. Sure, there was my sister, but even when we trained, I knew she would never hurt me. This Nicolas Brown fella however…
