I sat in the hotel lounge, forcing my body to relax and appear calm while I waited for the damned bloodsucker to show up. The hotel was in the town closest to our borders, where the late Alpha Emil had invested in quite a lot of properties. Hell, he'd even invested in this hotel, making me legally a board member. Which was why it didn't really surprise me that the human staff recognized me when I walked in the doors. What did bother me, however, was when they let slip that they were expecting me and led me to a private VIP lounge away from prying eyes.
