That same evening as Simon called Eliana, the phone rung as he waited for her to answer, hoping that she doesn't answer but wanted to know the truth about Eliana and Jake to get some clarity on his relationship. After a few minutes, Simon received her voicemail and hung up the phone, walking out of his bathroom after turning off the light as his phone rung as Eliana called back and answered the call.
"Hey." He greeted, laying down on his bed. "How you been?"
"I've been okay, just been thinking of you coming home for Christmas as I really miss you." Eliana replied.
Simon thought about what she said as he was having a hard time believing every word that she was saying which the video on her i********: proved otherwise and the fact he was
coming to terms of his feelings for Natalia which he knew what he had to do.
"So, I know we're on different time zones, but we really need to talk." He claimed.
"Okay, what do we need to talk about?" She wondered. "Is everything okay?"
"Earlier this evening, I came across a video that your friend tagged you in on i********: with you on Jake’s back." Simon answered.
As he responded, Eliana was quiet on the other end of the phone which she sighed into the phone, confirming Simon's assumption as he asked her what was going on between them.
"I am so sorry, Simon which I didn’t want you to find out this way.” She apologized.
"Find out what?" He inquired.
"I wanted to tell you in person but ever since you moved to Seattle, I've been feeling lonely and one day, when I went to the movies with Cassandra and Brooke, I bumped into Jake while we were in line and we started talking and then by Thanksgiving, we started to grow closer and I kissed him which I knew it was a stupid thing to do but I just got caught up into the moment." Eliana explained.
“If you were lonely, you could’ve called to talk to me whenever I wasn’t busy but instead of doing that, you kissed my best friend which I thought I could’ve trusted you but now, I can’t.” Simon stated.
“You can trust me, I’m still the same person that you fell in love with and the kiss didn’t mean anything.” Eliana claimed.
"How long have you been seeing him and are you in love with him?" Simon questioned.
"About a week or so after Thanksgiving and yes, but not as much as I am with you." Eliana replied.
Both of them was quiet as he took in her confession which he would had understood if it was some random guy she met but for it to be someone who he called a best friend, it was an violation of his trust of both his friendship and relationship as Eliana spoke into the phone.
"Where do we go from here?" She wondered.
Simon didn't want to say the answer as he wanted to give her another chance but realized that he was starting to form a deep connection with Natalia from when they first met, he didn't want to put her in the middle and choosing between two women but it was now or never.
"As much as I loved you, I think we should officially end things because I don't want to be the type of guy in love with you and someone else without someone getting hurt." He explained.
"Well, as much as I loved you, I don't want to hold you back from being happy."
"So, I guess this is it, then." Simon responded.
"Yeah, sure is." Eliana told him.
"Take care, Eliana." He told her.
"You take care as well." She stated.
The two of them said their final goodbyes with Eliana thanking him for the time that they spent together as they were no longer in a relationship and hung up. He looked up at the ceiling as he processed everything closing his eyes, trying to go to sleep for the night but couldn't as he got up and decided to walk down the street to the café that was open 24 hours for some hot chocolate, putting on his shoes. Grabbing his coat out of the closet, he opened his bedroom door quietly as he knew Jessica and Natalia were asleep and walked down the hallway towards the front door, grabbing his key off the kitchen counter. He opened the front door quietly, locking the bottom lock behind him and then making his way towards the elevators as he waited for one. The elevator doors opened as a guy got off while Simon walked onto the elevator, pressing the lobby button.
