Back at the apartment, Jessica was in the kitchen fixing a sandwich as she kept waiting for Simon and Natalia to come back which she couldn't go back to sleep even though it was early Thursday morning around 3:30. After making her sandwich, she turned off the kitchen light and went over to the living room, turning on the TV to find something to watch. After leaving the café, Natalia and Simon walked down the street toward the apartments as he reached for her hand and held it.
"So, are you still heading back home to Miami after everything that happened?" She asked.
"To be honest, I'm not sure since you're the only person I've told what happened so far, which I don't know how I'm going to tell my parents, especially my mom." He stated.
"I get it. I felt the same way for two or three weeks before I told my parents which they were understanding even though my father can really be short-tempered but not as my older brother, Levi, which his temper is ten times worse." Natalia told him.
"They care about you a lot and don't want to see you get hurt which anybody in the world would be lucky enough to be with you." Simon declared.
Natalia smiled as they walked through the lobby toward the elevators as Simon pressed the button to go upstairs. While waiting for the elevator, Natalia remembered to notify Jessica when she was on her way back with Simon as she took her phone out of her coat pocket, taking off a glove to text her.
Back upstairs in the apartment, Jessica was watching TV as her phone notification went off with a text from Natalia, informing her that she talked to Simon and that they were downstairs in the lobby waiting for the elevator. Jessica replied as she thanked Natalia for letting her know that her and Simon was okay and then turned her phone screen off, feeling relieved. In the lobby, the elevator doors opened as Simon and Natalia walked on with the doors closing behind them after she pressed the button to go up to the tenth floor.
"I texted Jessica to inform her that we're okay." She told him.
"I'm pretty sure that she's losing her mind right now."
Natalia chuckled, laying her head on his arm as they stood in comfortable silence. As the elevator stopped on the fifth floor, she lifted her head as she saw a guy walked onto the elevator.
"Good morning." He greeted the two of them, smiling warmly at Natalia."Are you two getting started on your day?"
"We're just coming back from the café that's down the street." Simon replied.
"Have you guys tried the hot chocolate?" The guy questioned.
"I have, and it was good." Simon told him.
"I agree, but I didn't quite catch your names." The guy stated.
"I'm Simon, and this is Natalia." He responded.
The three of them shook hands as his hand slightly brushed Natalia's knuckles, greeting each other with warm smiles.
"Nice to meet the two of you, I'm Kyle." He introduced himself.
As the three of them introduced themselves and engaged in conversation, the elevator stopped on the tenth floor as the doors opened.
"Anyway, it was nice talking to you guys and happy holidays." Kyle said.
Natalia and Simon thanked him as they wished a happy holidays as well, stepping off the elevator as the doors closed with Kyle making his way downstairs to leave for work as a police officer while the two of them walked down the hallway towards the apartment.
"He was nice." Natalia claimed.
"Yeah, he was which I just got an idea." He told her.
"What is it?" She wondered.
"Since Jessica's single, we could match her with Kyle and if you look at it, they would make a good couple."
Natalia thought about the idea and the fact that the both of them knew that Jessica was the type of person who didn't like other people setting her up with somebody that she haven't met herself and with her being sarcastic at times, she figured that it wouldn't work out based on her personality.
"That sounds like a good idea, but there's just one major problem." Natalia responded.
"And what's that?" Simon wondered.
"Jessica isn't the person who dates someone that somebody else sets her up on as she prefers to meet someone on her own." She interpreted.
"Yeah, that's true." He disclosed.
"I like the fact that you're trying, though." Natalia declared.
Simon smiled as they reached the door to the apartment as Natalia turned the doorknob, only to find that it was locked which Jessica had locked it.
"I got my key." He aforementioned, taking his key out of his coat pocket.
Simon placed his key in the lock as he unlocked the door. He opened the door as he let Natalia walk in first and then walked in behind her, closing the door where they saw Jessica sitting on the couch watching TV.
"You guys are finally back, I thought you two got abducted by aliens or turned to human popsicles." She commented, turning to look at them.
"I already apologized to Natalia, but I'm so sorry for making you upset which I didn't mean to but I just needed to clear my head." Simon apologized.
"Which at the end, it really helped." Natalia added.
"I accept your apology but next time, just give Natalia or me a heads up before you leave in the early hours of the mornings except when you go to work at the hospital." Jessica responded, getting up from the couch as she gave him a hug. Just as Simon and Jessica was hugging, he pulled Natalia into one big group hug as his hugs was one of his best qualities of his personality.
"I'm so glad that I sent Natalia to talk to you." She commented.
"You know what, so am I." He claimed
Simon glanced at Natalia and smiled, mouthing a thank you as she smiled back at him which she knew in that very moment her feelings for him were starting to become something more but as she reminisce back on their conversation at the café, she decided to see where things go between them.
