The Surprise Mate

Chapter 10: The Deal.

Donaldson's P.O.V.:

It took us a month of tracking Sunshine’s scent with only short stops to rest and eat for us to reach the very edge of the Black Wolf Packs territory (our biggest enemy) during the run here Dorothyanna explained to me about how the royal family were fixing to be attacked by their enemies, about how Sunshine’s older brother and crown prince was ill and even though he hasn’t gotten worse he also hasn’t gotten better either so the King and Queen were left with no choice but to try and arrange a marriage for Sunshine so that she could assume the throne if they didn’t survive the attack in 2 months’ time (now 1 month) and how she refused to settle down before she’s had the chance to really live and try to find love, then lastly about why my sister was coming to our camp because its right in the middle of the path in which the enemy’s army was going (she told me this through the telepathic link that all members of the pack have as a means to communicate while in wolf form). So, I sent Thorin back to camp and told him to gather everyone up and have them moved into Sunnyvale Valley then to talk to the King and Queen and tell them that what remaining members of my Warriors and able bodied pack members would be more than willing to help defend the kingdom which would double if not triple the kingdom’s army, then I told him to send word back home requesting the aid from all members of the pack able to come join the fight and help the kingdom and lastly I told him to make sure that all the woman and children in the pack and human alike who were not able or willing to fight were evacuated to somewhere safe and for him to remain there to oversee everything in my stead while I’m gone. Once we were on the edge of the territory we decided on how best to go about rescuing Sunshine we decided that we try doing things the legal way of me making some kind of deal or trade with their Alpha Stephon to get her back and only if that failed would I then challenge him to a fight to the death match, however if he still declined and proved to be a coward then we would destroy anyone who got in our way because one way or another I was rescuing my mate and taking her home with me. I knew that the pack would immediately know once I crossed into their territory but I was determined to do this so I told my pack members who were with me to change form then once we were all in our human forms and dressed we crossed the territory line and started walking towards the center of the territory until we were met with members of the Black Wolf pack both in human and wolf shape then I said loud enough for all nearby to hear “I come to speak with your Alpha Stephon and to reclaim not only my mate that he stole from me but also the traitorous member of my pack who helped him do it so as to punish him as is my right as Alpha to the Silver Back pack.

We do not wish to fight but we will if given no other choice in the matter, so will you take us to your Alpha?” I asked, “Right this way but your pack mates must stay here outside our borders” he said “Very well Dorothyanna and Adamson please go and wait just outside the territory” I said out load but through the mind link I told them that I would first call to them through the mind link then with a battle cry howl if things take a turn for the worst and I need them. Then I followed them to the Alpha and hopefully to my mate. I could already feel her through the bond the closer I got the stronger the pull and my need for her to be with me got as well, by the time I was standing in front of their Alpha the pull was like a really bad itch under my skin and I could feel how scared and confused she was but I still could not see her so I pulled my self together and said in my strongest Alpha voice that made some of the other pack members move back a little as I said “ ALPHA STEPHON of THE BLACK WOLF PACK I HAVE COME HERE TO RECLAIM MY MATE THAT YOU HAVE STOLLEN FROM ME AND TO TAKE BACK MY PACK MEMBER WHO BETRAYED HIS PACK TO BE PUNISHED FOR HIS CRIMES AS IS MY RIGHT AS HIS ALPHA AND AS ALPHA OF THE ENTIRE SIVER BACK PACK! I AM WILLING TO OFFER YOU A TRADE IF I MUST, TO GET MY MATE BACK BUT IF YOU REFUSE MY REQUEST THEN I SHALL HAVE TO GO A DIFFERENT ROUTE, ONE I DON’T THINK YOU WOULD WISH TO TAKE!” I said then I waited for his reply. “You are correct in saying that it’s your right as his Alpha to take him back and punish him for his betrayal so yes you may have him back, DUNKIN GET OUT HERE!” he calls out never looking away from me, when Dunkin walked out looking pleased with himself my wolf wanted nothing more (Other than his mate that is) than to rip his f*****g head off his shoulders and put it on a pike as a warning to others, but I urged him to calm down as I listened to Stephon talk.

“DUNKIN AS IS YOUR ALPHA’S RIGHT HE HAS COME TO TAKE YOU BACK HOME TO PUNISH YOU FOR YOUR BETRAYAL, SADLY AS MUCH AS I LIKE YOU I CANNOT GO AGAINST HIS DEMAND ON THIS FOR IT IS HIS RIGHT, YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT HIS PACK BEFORE MAKING THE DECISION TO BETRAY HIM AND DO ANOTHER ALPHA’S BIDDING BUT SEEING AS YOU WERE AND ARE STILL HIS PACK MEMBER I’M AFRAID THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO TO HELP YOU ON THIS NOW GO KNEEL BEFORE YOU’RE ALPHA!” he said and soon two of his pack members grabbed Dunkin one on each arm and dragged him begging and pleading to be spared down the steps until they stood 5 feet from me then they shoved him towards me where he fell on his knees and stayed there. “Now as to your other request/demand the girl that he brought to me you claim is your mate shall we ask her?” he said with a sly smile on his face “I’m afraid she does not truly know it yet Alpha Stephon for even though I have taken her to bed and the bond is there almost solidified I have yet to tell her what I, we truly are as well as I have felled to tell her that she is my mate out of fear that she will reject me, I beg u to please let us negotiate on a deal and for you to please not tell her” I said then I awaited his answer. “It seems we are at a bit of a quandary you see the problem is this I had her abducted because she was your mate you see I knew you would come for her so I used her to lure you here and you foolishly came and though you arrived with others you also foolishly agreed to leave them just outside my territory which is good for them because they can’t be harmed by my pack members while they are outside my territory but, not so good for you because you see thanks to Dunkin I know all about your packs unique ability to communicate mind to mind with eachother while in wolf form and you to them no matter if you are in wolf form or not which is why I had a witch put up a barrier around my territory that interferes with your ability to mentally communicate out to your pack members or for them to communicate with you while they are outside my barrier/territory and since you are too far from them not even they’re heightened hearing will be able to hear you if you called out to them so you see you are completely on your own here and surrounded by my pack so I don’t have to even pretend to take your deal into consideration the only reasons I’m even handing over Dunkin is because of the reason I told him before since you’re still rightfully his Alpha you have the right to punish him for his betrayal and the second reason is that I no longer have a need for him he has served his purpose here, there is nothing you can offer me that I would want you know since you are not fully mated to her yet I think that I’m going to keep her here and I’ll breed her and once she gives me an heir (during the time he’s trying to piss me off, surprisingly Dorothyanna is able to contact me mentally this is what she says “Donaldson can you hear me?” “Yes, I can but Stephon said that you wouldn’t be able to contact me while you're outside the magical barrier never mind, I’ll explain later, so does that mean you were able sneak into the barrier?” I ask her “yes I was we started getting worried when we tried to contact you and weren’t getting any reply just static what’s going on?” “It’s a long story just please get everyone in here and quickly I don’t know how long this guy is going to gloat for, but I need you guys inside the barrier so that if he refuses my challenge, you guys can help out do you understand sis?” I ask her “ Yes brother I understand” then she disconnects to tell the pack and I focus on Stephon waiting for him to stop talking) then I will force her to breed with my whole pack over and over again don’t worry she’ll be well cared for by the females of my pack, you see the only members of my pack that are worthwhile is the males, the only thing woman are good for is mating, cleaning, cooking, and some who please me enough even get to be healers when they can no longer have babies maybe she’ll get lucky and die during birth we shall see” he says then stops and I say “ Than you leave me no choice I challenge you to one on one fight to the death match if you win you gain control over my pack and entire territory and can keep my mate to do with as you so please (since I’ll be dead anyways) however If I win I get her back, and your pack agrees to let us all leave safely,” I say to him (as I mentally tell my pack members who are now inside the barrier “wait for my signal if he accepts my challenge and I die I want you to get Sunshine out of here and keep all our pack in Sunnyvale Valley, she’s in the hut behind the Alpha there is only two guards with her” I say then disconnect before anyone could argue with me).
