Chapter 7: Things start to take a twist for better or worse?

Sunshine's P.O.V.:

The next morning, I wake up and get dressed then I decide to go pay the horses a visit thankfully my ankle and wrist are both filling a little better. So, I give sunshine and old Jenny a good brushing and make sure they have feed and water, then I walk over to the cooking area where Donaldson and his mother were already sitting so, I sit in the empty spot in between him and his mother and get a plate of eggs and bacon with some toast then start eating. Once I’m done Normanina first unwraps and checks on my ankle then she wraps it back up then she unwraps my wrist (thankfully the swelling is gone) she then says “Your ankle should be fine by tomorrow, now try making a fist for me” so I do and with a little pain I’m able to make it halfway to a closed fist before I had to stop and open it again. “It’s ok I wasn’t really expecting you to be able to close it all the way, but in my opinion I’d say you have about a two more weeks before you’ll be healed up enough to start the rehab part of the healing process where we’ll start working on building the strength back up in your hand which could take two weeks more maybe a month only time will tell” then she wrapped my wrist back up and I placed it in the sling then she secured it to my body again, once she was done she went to the healing hut.

Donaldson kissed me lightly on the lips which sent a shiver of heat running through me then he said “I’m going to go hunting with some of the guys this morning before it gets too hot to do so but I’ll be back soon I promise you and then maybe we can go back to the hot spring tonight if you want to. I need you to promise me that you’ll stay in camp while I’m gone ok there are dangerous creatures out in the woods please”, remembering the wolf that was chasing me that caused me to get hurt in the first place I said “ I promise you I won’t leave camp while you’re gone but is there a way for me to write a message and someone that’s trustworthy to you who can deliver the message? You see it is to my best friend I left home to go on a trip for a little while before I’m needed back home and I told her I would try and wright to her whenever I got the chance to,” He seemed startled by this request at first but then he replied “of course you can” he called to someone who was walking by then said there is paper and sealing wax on the table in my room you may use it and this is Dunkin when your done with the message seal it and tell Dunkin where to deliver it and he will do so right away, then he will stay somewhere in the area until she replies to you” I give Donaldson a kiss then said thank you as I headed back towards the hut with my shadow Dunkin behind me. Once inside the hut I go directly to Donaldson’s room and go inside, it has almost nothing inside just a bed, a table with a chair, one chest with what I’d guess would be his clothes in it, and a washing area. (“It is a mystery for another day,”) I think to myself then I go straight over to the table and sit down at the table, I grab the quill and ink pot dip the quill into the ink then I start to wright:

Dearest Dorothyanna I’m writing to tell you that I’m fine still alive. I got banged up a little, but I was rescued by a very handsome man who took me to his camp where I am currently staying until I heal up enough to leave. Tell Adamson that I miss his cooking they don’t have anything nearly as good out here. I’ll wright again as soon as I can. I miss you all so very much and pls tell my parents that I’m fine but wait until after you send the guy who brings you this message on his way with your reply before you tell them pls. P.S. O and do not tell him anything about me, except that I was a maid in the household with you, these people cannot know the truth.

I then fold it and seal it closed with the wax which had an image of a wolf’s head on it hmmm very interesting. Then I walk out of the room and hand it to Dunkin telling him to take the letter to the servant's area in the palace in Sunnyvale Valley and say that you have a message for Dorothyanna. Then I sent him on his way and decided to lay down for a little bit.

Donaldson's P.O.V.:

I watched from a distance as Sunshine left back to the hut then I waited for her to send Dunkin off with the letter once she was back inside, I stopped Dunkin and asked him “So where is our guest sending you off to with that letter Dunkin?” “ Sir she’s sending me to the palace in Sunnyvale Valley well to the servant section of the palace sir,” he replied kind of nervously “Thank you Dunkin, and pay attention to everything that goes on or is said while you are in Sunnyvale Valley and at the palace if you hear anything that sounds like its important or that might pertain to Sunshine please take note of it and report back to me when you return I need to know everything I can about who our guest is, I can feel that she’s hiding something from us and it makes me uneasy,” I tell him “Yes sir will do sir” then he gets on his horse and rides to deliver the mysterious letter for Sunshine. Who is this girl really, what connection does she have to the palace in Sunnyvale Valley, and why did she leave? These were the answers I needed to know. I decide I really do need to go hunting after all, so I run into the forest and change form and let my wolf take over so as to hunt in piece for a while.

Sunshine's P.O.V.:

After laying down for a little while I get up and decide to go to the healing hut once inside, I track down Normanina and say, “I’m tired of sitting around doing nothing I may have only one arm to work with but please is there anything I can do to help out around camp?” “Sure, darling follow me” she replies then starts walking. I follow her to almost the very edge of camp from where all the living huts are to one big Hut probably the biggest hut there is here. We go inside, and I see about five kids of ages from 1yr to about maybe 7 or 8 yrs. old all sitting “or in the cases of the one baby, laying in a cradle” in a semi-circle around a guy who must have been their teacher/babysitter who was reading a story to them. She tells me “Wait here” she walks up to the guy and talks to him then he stands up and follows her over to me “ Sunshine this is Timonythson he’s in charge of looking after the little ones and teaching them normally there is more grownups teaching our little ones but since we are a small camp and there are so little amount of kids here we saw no reason to have more than one but if you need to occupy your time you are more than welcome to help with the kids is that ok with you?” “O of course I love kids I used to help look out for my 3 nephews back home” I say.

She nods then walks away leaving us alone, “Ok so I’m getting ready to put them down for their naps if you don’t mind helping me lay out their bedding each child has a marked sleeping area where their bedding goes. So, all you have to do is grab a bed roll and call out that child’s name once they get their bedroll they’ll go to their marked areas, and I’ll help them roll out their bedding once everyone is laying down all you’ll need to do is occasionally sit next to one of the kids and rub their backs until they go to sleep or comfort someone if they have a nightmare” he tells me. Then he introduces me to a little girl “This is Brooklina she is 6yrs old, she is the oldest one here and she’s also my biggest little helper aren’t you” he says, and the little girl replies that's right uncle Tim me is a big girl now” she squeaks out as he grabs her up and spins her around then he sets her down and she runs off back over to where the others are. “Uncle Tim huh?” I ask o yes sorry I forgot to mention she’s my sister Kimberlina’s daughter lol.”

“Okay” I reply then I start calling out the names that are written on each bedroll and one by one the 4 toddlers each walked up to me grabbed their bed roll then said thank you and walked over to where Timonythson was standing in their assigned area to help them lay out their bed roll. Then I went and picked up the baby’s cradle he was already fast asleep and moved him into his spot. I started making my rounds first with Brooklina then so on, together me and Timonythson finally got everyone to sleep then we sat against the wall watching them sleep keeping our eyes and ears open for any sign of restlessness it was just so nice and peaceful watching them all sleep. “So how long is nap time?” I ask him in a whisper tone “well the baby will pretty much sleep until he is hungry or needs a diaper change the others about an hour to half an hour at most,” he replies.

Dorothyanna's P.O.V.:

Meanwhile in Sunnyvale Valley……

It’s now been 3 days since Sunshine left and still, I haven’t heard from her I was starting to get worried that something bad had happened to her and that I would never see my best friend again. The King and Queen sent out they’re scouts immediately as soon as they found out that she had run away but so far, they have had no luck in finding her which I hope means that she is alive and well and just got far enough away that they can’t find her and not that she was captured by some ruffian and was hurt. The King and Queen received word that Prince Willie II hasn’t taken a turn for the worst yet, but he also hasn’t gotten better yet either. This news while not as bad as it could be it was still pretty bad and made them even more anxious to find Sunshine as soon as they could especially when news of our enemies getting closer to our borders every day came yesterday. I just couldn’t understand why Sunshine would do this now when it was obvious that her Kingdome really needed her now more than ever, but I guess I can’t really fault her for wanting to try and find her true love, I just wish there were more I could do to help her and help the King and Queen. So, I was glad to hear that there was a messenger waiting for me just outside the servant's entrance with a message of some kind, so I went to the door and opened it. “Please come in and get something to eat while I read this, I say then I took the message and walked to my room that was down the hall once inside I looked at the sealing wax which had an image of a wolf’s head on it. The sight of this image surprised me and got me wondering why I was getting a letter from my brother and how did he find out where I was at for this most surely was my brothers seal, I popped the seal loose and began reading surprised at what was written inside:

Dearest Dorothyanna I’m writing to tell you that I’m fine and still alive. O My God the guy she mentions must be my brother which means she’s about 100 miles outside the kingdoms territory, she is also right in the middle of where the kingdoms enemies will be coming through, and she is surrounded by werewolves as well why O why did it have to be my brother who saved her dammit he’s usually moved on from that camp by now or else I would have insisted on going even more forcefully. I sit down and wright to her:

Dearest Sunshine I’m glad to know you are ok, but I must speak to you in person I know where you are and who you are with, I shall explain as much as I can when I see you there until then I need you to stay put and listen to everything Donaldson tells you,

Then I sealed it with the servant's seal of a rose.

I then I wrote a letter to my brother saying:

Dearest brother I have decided to come see you I shall be there in a couple days with Adamson it seems that this is a very small world for the girl you have staying with u is the very same girl we would play with as children the very one that our parents said would be your destined bride I shall explain as much to her without exposing our secret, but I urge you brother to not take too long before you tell her your side of things.

This letter I sealed with the family's seal.

Then I walked back outside and greeted the gentleman “Hello may I speak with you a minute alone” “Umm sure” he says then we walk far enough away from anyone to hear us. “My name is Dorothyanna of the Silverback Wolf pack of Silver Creek Valley I am your Alfa wolf Donaldson’s little sister please deliver Sunshine’s letter first to her then deliver this letter directly to your Alfa do you understand?” “Yes, mam right away” then he got on his horse and rode away, I then went to break the news to Adamson about us going on a trip to our camp.
