Nate stood beside Halle as she and Pamela acquainted themselves with each other. Pamela was his Secretary for more than ten years and who better would Halle learn for than the woman he considered a mother figure at the office.
Nate averted his eyes to see the staff looking their way. They all scampered back to their tasks leaving them be and leaving a clear hallway. He glanced at her again. Was this a dream or was she really beside him? Nate extended his hand placing it on the small of her back and she felt her form grow still.
Halle turned her eyes capturing his for quite some time. Pamela cleared her throat gaining both their attention once again. She pushed up her glasses eyeing him with a knowing stare. Nate nodded in acknowledgement following her non-verbal command.
