Sheena's words were all the justification Jake needed to pursue her. He had been fighting with himself from seeing all the things that could go wrong and forget this forbidden romance that was stirring within him. Now, he was going to let go of all the reasons and pursue her.
Jake dropped Sheena back at the house quite late. They had remained at "La Cafe" after their truce just talking. Sheena went on to relate how she ended up being married to his father.
After listening to her, Jake saw how wrong he had judged her. Guilt and regret tugged at his heart for causing her so much pain with his words and he apologized again before taking her home.
Jake was parked in front of the house. He sat in his car watching as Sheena walked up to the front door and disappeared into the house.
