“Do we know what this is about?” Colby asks me.
I shrug “Bennett asked us to all be here at two. He wouldn't even give me a hint.”
Baylor walks in to join us. “Anyone have any clues what is going on?”
“We’re all in the dark.” Manny replies.
"Chase and Rhodes couldn't make it on short notice." Baylor says sounding as lost as we are.
Bennett walks in with six other men. One of them I recognize as the head coach for the Tarrant Tornadoes.
“Hi guys. Sorry for the secrecy but we don’t want reporters here for all this.” Bennett begins. “This is my coach, Jerry Stanton, our general manager, Tom Finn, and these gentlemen are here for your protection. This is Mike, he’s a sports attorney and Stan, my agent. You already know Ben and Bill the two scouts who came for that lovely game again
