Callie I opened my bedroom door, ready to just pace in the hall for a while. And froze. Grayson was already there. He stood with his back against the wall directly across from my room, one arm bent, hand resting against the doorframe beside him like he’d been leaning there for a long time. His eyes lifted slowly, finding mine in the dim light and my chest tightened. I should’ve said something sharp or casual or anything to make it feel less like I’d been caught stepping out to find him.
