Century Love

Part II

As I try to pull myself together and try to get my father's attention to talk in private, there comes the brght light and suddenly I pass out. When I wake up, everyone's looking at me strangely, I smile and apologize 'Oh my God what a terrible first impression'  and start laughing 'I apologize I forgot to get something to eat this morning and this are the consequences'; my father looks at me a little bit worried and I just smile back at him.

My mind starts speed racing, How is it possible that I know this man from a previous life? And why on earth is this happening right now? Will it have something to do with the fact that I am the last of the line or with the fact that I am  being hunted by God knows who? I excuse myself from the table as soon as I order something to eat and walk to the restrooms, I notice Gerard going my way and feel a little bit confident that nothing can go wrong tonight.

I come back from the ladies room and found my dad in great talk with Mr. Callum, Damian´s father and the only one I am familiar with. As I approach the table I notice the waiter is coming up with the dinner. My only question is how on earth am I going to explain to my father my DÉJÀ VU, I don't know how this is possible but I just have a link with him, I can feel it is stronger than I think because as I get close to him my heart starts pounding and is as if something pulling me towards him. 

'I apologize, I completely forgot I didn't have a bite during the day. I am embarrassed' I say as soon as I get on my seat, for which I have to add, Damian was a complete gentleman and help me into it.

'No need to worry or apologize sweetheart' My future mother - Dana - in law answers as soon as I excuse myself for what happened and continues 'As long as you are feeling better now and that your appetite is in great shape because the food here is delicious.' She smiles at me as I answer 'Definitely'

'I've heard you go to the best school i  your area' Damian asks me, 'Yes, I attend the Charterhouse' I answer politely and give him a smile, I don't know if he feels the same as me. Then as soon as look at him I notice that he is staring very fondly at me, I guess he feels something although it will be very difficult to know if he saw anything. 

We continue chatting as if we knew each other from always instead of this being the first time we met before our meant to be marriage. So far I certainly do not dislike his personality and his looks, well he is tall and has this amazing hazel eyes. 

Suddenly I get a hunch that something is about to go on, in the exact moment my father receives a call, he looks at me in concern and hangs up the call. 'I must apologize, but will it be fine if I leave for 15 mins and come back?, There is something I must attend outside, Mr. Callum asks if he needs help, and my father asks him just not to get mad and to please take care of me for a couple of minutes.

As he leaves, Gerard comes near to the table to get me on spot, as if I were in danger. I give him a look and he answers with a sign that I certainly know means - HUNTERS.

My father returns in no time and I realize I've been expecting something to happen when he grabs softly my shoulder and announces he is back. The evening continues as if nothing had happened, Damian and I made a perfect click and certainly liked each other, my doubts about the marriage are now gone and I can't wait to tell all about it to my friends, and honestly, to prepare the wedding.

As we are sitting in the car on the way back home my father speaks 'You were right, the house was under attack, they got one of the people who entered' He turns to me and looks worried 'We are going to the winter cabin for tonight, tomorrow you won't be attending school, you will be helping me out with something. I nod and ask no more questions.

I walk into the cabin and realize that something is going on at the stud, our people are putting protection spells all over the place and I know they need my assistance. 'Protegum compere' I say as I walk by to get to my room.

They see the protection spell go all the way up without any trouble and they realize I am assisting, my father gives me a wink in confidence as if he was thanking and gives me a sign to go to the stud.

As I enter I get in a shock, I see two people that were detained when they attack, and one of them is Mike's brother - Stephen - I gasp and the only word that comes out of my mouth is 'Why?'

He gives me a really terrible smirk that causes me to get goosebumps and realize that this is just the mere onset of the war that is coming to us. 'I wish to speak to him alone with my father' 

They get outside and my father comes closer to me. 'Why did you attack us?' He demands 'It was just a warning, for the people that were supposed to be there tonight' 

'Warning for what?' I demand. 'And for whom exactly?'

'We know what you are, and we know that the people that are around you are not the same, however they come from a long line of people that are meant to your kind. We want to interrupt the situation before everyone is killed' He answers

This sudden amount of information gets my father off guard and he turns to me, he notices me using my magic. He knows I am not to be disturbed right know, he tries to calm me down by grabbing my hand. And all of a sudden we hear a scream from outside.

We run to check what is going on and all I can hear before getting outside is Stephen's laugh and shout 'It has begun'
