We got off the car and went inside his house. He showed dad his room, Emma asked if she could share room with me. He said of course. Once we got tongue room it revealed two huge teddy bears.
"Sissy, look at those big bears." She said excited. We just chuckled.
"One is yours, and the other one is mine." I replied and she went to hug the bear.
"Can I watch TV?" She asked.
"Course, remote is on the bed and I'm assuming you know the rest?" He said to her.
"Of course." She giggled. We left her to watch TV in the room. Shawn took me to his yard and we sat on the couch.
"This day bites, not only did I get beaten. But my house was burned down. All of mom pictures and home videos burned. I'll never see her face again." I started to cry. He hugged me tight.
