My head spun as my vision blurred. My body felt like it was on fire, Lance’s hair tickled my ear and my pulse sped up until I thought my internal temperature would cause me to combust. Then it settled and a wave of cool calmness washed through me, everything back to normal and then some. I felt, whole, complete, settled; but why? The pressure on my throat had eased and I hadn’t even noticed I was breathing unlabored. I looked up into a pair of bright blue eyes that were quite confused, and right above them in the mop of brown hair a stark silver streak had appeared.
