Chapter 9 - F*ck You Again

2051 Words
"Where are we?" I asked as the car came to a stop in front of a large house. I hadn't realized how far we'd driven from the mansion or the university I attended. "Where are we? Is this even your house?" He still didn't answer. Instead, he opened the driver's door and got out. My lips parted in disbelief. I quickly got out to follow him, and the moment my feet touched the concrete driveway, a strong gust of wind swept through my hair. The air here was cool and flowed freely. It was evident from the trees surrounding the place. That meant there weren't many buildings nearby. It was quiet too, even though there were houses around. "Isles! Are you for real? I-Is this really your house? Why did you bring me here?" I followed him as he walked to the gate and opened it. "Yes. Yes again. And third, because you'll be living here from now on, and your father gave his permission," he answered without the slightest hint of joking. I looked up at the house. It was a large two-story house. With a few more extensions, it could be one hell of a villa! It was painted white and brown. It was big enough for a family but too much for one person. The yard looked spacious too. The lights were off, and even from outside, it was obvious no one was inside. "I want to go home!" Isles ignored me. Once he opened the gate, he waited for me to go in. I walked up to him but stopped before crossing the gate. "This can't happen. You're moving too fast!" He's moving way too fast for us to live under the same roof. Doesn't he realize that? Isles smirked. There was a provoking look in his eyes. "Now I'm the one who's moving too fast? How dare a Sandoval say that I'm moving too fast?" I couldn't answer immediately. He really knew how to twist my words, and it seemed to be his favorite thing to do now. He gestured for me to come inside. I had no choice. Where else could I go? I couldn't leave! Reluctantly, I stepped inside. I kept my eyes on him, watching him cautiously. But he just stood there patiently, waiting until I was completely inside. My heart pounded. I really couldn't understand what I was supposed to feel toward this man. Is he a bad guy? Obviously! Then why did I still come with him? And why haven't I found a way to get away from him so our paths would never cross again? "You're my first visitor here," he said. Should I thank him for that? I heard the keys clink as he unlocked the door. The lights inside came on, and he entered first. I followed behind, looking around. The inside was spotless. Even though no one seemed to live here, it was well maintained. "Who lives here?" I asked. "No one. Just a helper whenever she needs to clean the house," Isles answered as he set the bunch of keys on the table. The house was fully furnished. He probably came here from time to time. "Is this really your house? If you don't stay here often, where do you stay?" I asked. "Condo," he answered briefly. "You don't need to know where." I didn't reply. He was right. I didn't care where he stayed. I don't and never will care about his whereabouts. "Am I really going to live here? Are you serious? Or... tell me. Do you just need company tonight?" I asked bluntly, making him chuckle softly. I couldn't help staring at him whenever he laughed or smiled, that smile that wasn't mocking, the one he only seemed to show other people. "Are you willing to give me the company I need tonight? Hmm, Miss Nathalia?" He smirked. I dropped my bag onto the couch and rolled my eyes at him. "Of course... not!" His smirk disappeared, and he simply shook his head. He turned on the large flat-screen television as if that alone would be enough to entertain me. I glanced at it briefly before looking back at him. He started taking off his suit. He removed his watch and placed it on the table. My eyes followed him as I sat on the couch. His long, slender fingers began undoing the buttons of his dress shirt. When he undid the first three buttons, my gaze lifted to his face, only to meet his steady stare. Half amused and half... serious? When he reached the fourth button, he suddenly stopped. It didn't matter because I could already catch a glimpse of his broad chest. "I'm just going to take a shower. Don't leave like you did this morning. You still owe me for that," he said quietly, reminding me of how I'd run away that morning, his eyes fixed on me seriously. I could only swallow hard, unable to respond after he reminded me of my escape. He turned his back and walked away. I closed my eyes and lowered my head into my hands. What am I supposed to do now? I can't be stuck here dealing with Isles when I don't even know what he's planning. I might not be as smart as him and Dad, but I'm not stupid. I know Isles Privello is planning something. One thing I'm sure of is that he hates my father, and me! He looks at me with irritation. Even my mere presence is enough to make him dislike me. It's very obvious. Other people just don't notice because pretending comes naturally to him. I didn't wait for Isles to come back before exploring. I made my way up the grand staircase. The lights on the second floor were off. Darkness greeted me as I reached the top. Good thing there was a terrace where the moonlight streamed in. The place was incredibly quiet. I could hear the clicking of my heels. I counted the rooms. Three or four. One wasn't very noticeable because it was at the far end and looked much smaller. I opened the first room, the one closest to the stairs. A clean guest room greeted me. The second room looked like the master bedroom. The third was another bedroom, smaller than the master. I looked at the fourth room. This one was obviously smaller than the other three. I was about to turn the doorknob when someone suddenly spoke behind me. "What are you looking for?" the deep voice asked. I immediately turned around and let go of the doorknob I had been about to turn. I swallowed when my eyes met Isles's. He had apparently just finished showering, and my gaze slowly drifted down his body. He wasn't wearing a shirt. He only had on gray pants, with a towel draped over his shoulder that he was using to dry his wet hair. He looked at me, then at the door I had been about to open. His hair was still messy and wet. Tiny droplets of water still clung to his body. They trailed down his broad shoulders and chest. "Nathalia?" I unconsciously counted his abs. It was fairly dark, with only the moonlight coming in from outside, but I could clearly see the definition of his body! "Y-Yes? I was just looking around..." Isles glanced at the room. He lowered the towel and looked back at me. I felt nervous, but I tried to hide it. I still hadn't fully processed the fact that Isles and I were living under the same roof. And it was just the two of us. Well, except if there were ghosts or something supernatural in this house. "I'll tell you now. You're not allowed in that room," he said quietly but seriously. I frowned and faced him. "Why? I thought I was going to live here. Why is there a room I'm not allowed to enter?" "My study. It's off-limits," he said as he headed toward the master bedroom. I immediately followed him and blocked his way. "Hey! Why is it off-limits? Are you hiding a secret in there?" "My study is none of your business, Miss Nathalia." "What if I’m going to clean it?" I asked. He looked at me without saying a word, then shook his head and walked past me. I was about to follow him again when I remembered that was his bedroom. He stopped just before entering his room. I swallowed when he turned to face me and looked down. He was taller than I was, so I had to tilt my head back to meet his eyes. "You clean?" he asked as though the idea were ridiculous. "Yes! What do you think of me?" He's so offensive. But I'm sure he's aware of that, and he's enjoying every second of it. "Let's not kid ourselves. Do you even know how to do housework?" he asked, his brows drawn together. He didn't even wait for my answer before turning around and walking into the master bedroom. "Excuse me? I can clean! I can wash dirty dishes! And I can do my laundry!" "Hmm?" he asked mockingly. Is he really trying to get on my nerves? I ignored him and headed straight for the door he had forbidden me to open. I wanted to find out what was inside to make it off-limits! It's not like I'm going to destroy his law books. "Where are you going?" Isles asked, but I ignored him. I reached for the doorknob. It wasn't locked when I turned it. It looked like it was the only room in the house that was regularly used besides the master bedroom where he slept. I managed to open the door, but before I could peek inside, Isles caught up with me. He reached for the doorknob and slammed the door shut as fast as lightning. "What's in there? Why can't I go in?" My curiosity only grew about whatever was inside that room. "Does nosiness run in your family? I already told you it's my study," he replied irritably. I pushed him aside and reached for the doorknob again. I didn't believe him. I'm sure there's something inside that room! "I'm sure there's—" I stopped mid-sentence when I suddenly felt his presence behind me. He was so close. I could feel the warmth of his body! My eyes widened as Isles closed the distance between us. He placed one hand against the door while the other wrapped around the other side of my waist to reach the lock. One click, and it locked. I tried turning it, but it wouldn't budge. I moved to turn around and face him, but he caged me from behind and pinned me against the door. He pressed me against the cold wood. At this point, he might as well handcuff me and drag me to the police station! His bare, broad chest rested against my back. I could feel the coolness of his skin from having just stepped out of the shower. Tiny droplets of water from his messy, wet hair fell onto my bare shoulders. His scent filled my senses. "W-What the heck are you doing?!" Isles ignored me. He took my hand off the doorknob and lifted it against the thick wooden door. His veined hand enveloped mine and pressed it firmly against the wood. I could feel my heart pounding so loudly, and I couldn't do anything. No matter how much I struggled, he kept me trapped between him and the door. Before I could speak, he lowered his mouth to the back of my ear. I closed my eyes as I felt his warm breath against it. "The next time you try to force your way into that room, I'll force my way into you from the position we're in right now. Do you understand me, Miss Nathalia?" he whispered in a low, rough voice, his warm breath brushing against the back of my neck, sending shivers down my spine. "You're on my property now. Don't forget that." He leaned even closer to my ear and spoke softly. "Don't test my patience, Nathalia. Besides, I'm dying to f**k you again. I might do it to you sooner than I should."
