Sania’s POV . My feet take me to the east garden. Using my shadows, I open the lock on the gate from the inside. The clinking sounds of chains dropping to the ground are heard. Then I push the iron gate open, which creaks loudly. I wait a few minutes. My eyes dart from one tree to another, looking for a small blue bird or a brown squirrel that usually jumps on the branches. They’re not here. Walking to the pond, I notice that the garden is really not in a good shape. Tall grasses that have never been trimmed in decades, vines and liches were everywhere, the tree roots were out of control, and a very dirty pond with algae covering half of it.
