I walked through the back until I found a door and stepped out into the garden.
I didn't know when I slumped to the floor, my dress brushing the flowers. I placed both hands on my face as I cried, smearing my makeup. I didn't realise when I heard footsteps from behind me as I sobbed loudly.
I deserved this. I deserved all of this. I should have known better, I should have kept my feelings aside and focused on myself.
