Navya
My name is Navya Chakraborty, and I have been in England with my husband Ramesh for some years now since he came here to manage his ailing uncle’s chain of supermarkets of which he, as favoured nephew, had a share and would soon own in its entirety.
Our marriage is based on neither romantic love nor lustful s****l attraction. The latter never a factor given my husband’s predilections run to those of his own s*x. Our union explained more by his traditionalist uncle’s archaic and unbending view of the male role in society – and especially the role of the Indian male.
It was a union, however, that made much sense to both of us when Ramesh approached me through the intervention of a gay schoolfriend who knew both our situations and suggested an… arrangement.
